Planet Zoo - Beta Dates Announcement 🐯

The 24th is Tuesday actually. I'm really hoping it's released at 12:01am for everyone - coming from Steam there shouldn't be a time zone issue.

I don't understand why a big organization like Steam couldn't set up releases so that they are available at midnight regardless of time zone. That is just nuts that you would have to wait until late afternoon on something you download digitally.

True, Europe-Steam users normally get their game releases late afternoon (5 PM CET).

That's just how Steam works, but I think this also depends on any last minute changes that are made to the game.

Steam is also American based, so when they release it here in Europe, it's actually morning where Valve headquarters are.
So I guess that is a reason too.

EDIT: Never take a day off on release day for games that are released on Steam, as it could be available later than you expect.

EDIT2: It appears Planco was released at midday in 2016. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/planet-coaster-is-now-live.489326/

Steam should work better then. This is not something that couldn't be fixed, and would be if there was enough of a reason to.

I guess I'll be waiting too then because Steam/Valve is in Washington and that is across the continent from me. Dang, Steam.

Luuk's been with us long enough to understand the workings of Steam! Go you!
It's definitely always a bit tricky with timings as Steam/Valve are based in US. And, similar to PlayStation and Xbox, someone always has to manually set things live. Exciting times ahead!

We'll have more news later today about the Beta, so stay tuned!
