Planet Zoo - More Beta Information! 🦓

As long as the game is installed on our PCs, why wouldn't we be able to continue playing after October 4th?

Because it wouldn't launch, thanks to steam.
I'm also not happy with the limited time, but they said they need to close the beta to fix all bugs etx. we encounter.

Annnnd what if we just left the game open and never actually closed it after October 4th and ran Steam in offline mode? x'D

Which is, in all honesty, a quite specious argument.
No developer would continue to work with the same build after closing a beta. Even during the beta, the devs will start new internal builds to improve the game. I really don't see a reason not to let the beta run until (or at least shortly before) the 5th of November ... not a technical one, that is.
I mean ... if thre is a strategical marketing consideration behind the decision to close the beta four weeks before launch, that's fine. I'm not happy with it, but it's entirely their call!

But please, don't fob us with a quite obviously fake reason that just sounds reasonable enough to appease the players. In my case, it doesn't appease me, it just makes me feel annoyed. Mind you, not annoyed enough to stop loving you, stop looking forward to the game with anticipation or limiting my will to play the heck out of it.
I'm not mad, I just feel it was unnecessary.

Yeah, I voiced my opinion about that as well and still think that the beta communication could have been a lot better beforehand. But in all honesty: It's Frontier not EA and I'm pretty sure the feedback we gave was heard and maybe next time it will all be a little more satisying for both parties.

I just want to get my hands on the game now as much as I can (which is in fact not much because of my job and me helping my mom moving) and then just be annoyed for four weeks that I can not play. After that, all will be fine.

Depends on who pays the electricity bill I suppose.

But there needs to be a online connection in some way, so I guess it won't work as there is no ability to connect after 8-10-2019.

Any other solution will be considered hacking so I'm not going there. I just take the time granted and will return in November with pleasure.

September 24th is National Gorilla Day. Just saying.

There are other language locations in the beta? Or only english in the beta? I´m so excited. Thanks to the complete team to make this awesome game. 💚

Cool, that there is PL version, at least the interface. I will use ENG version however, because PL versions of games usually get everything wrong (so hard to find competent translators :p ) + always better to learn something new in the language you know already, but not perfectly (as you can see in my posts ;) )

Me too upset about it stoping and get save game wipe
And questions I not a fan of pre order too early is the day before enough to get the beta

I am looking forward to the beta AND the full release of the game , Frontier didn't have to have a beta but they have chosen to so that people can get to test the game out which is what a beta is for ( and then fix anything that players manage to break and report ) At least they are willing to do this and then fix things unlike some games companies who release a game and then still don't fix bugs 5 years after its release and just add more and more expansions to milk the people who buy them
