It could be just a design choice, there is a really big list of animals ingame that could be analysed the same way
They should do this to every other animal which has similar problems, too.....but this is one of the newest additions to the game...(I mean they fixed the Binturong, too...because it didn't look like a real one)

In the case of the been-too-wrong binturong, it didn't really look like a binturong. It looked way too fat and the ears were completely off.
In this case, it's just a simple resize, so it's not as immersion breaking. I mean, if Frontier does change it, then great, but if not, I'm not gonna fuss about it

On the other hand "issues" with fossa cubs are minimal, as in although it's not one for one real life mode it's fine.

After seeing your comparison, the face of fossa cub seems odd.
The adult model is great...what makes it even more disappointing to me (that they show they could do it right)....like every other model of this pack
. I do not want to get deep into the Fossa topic here. It is okay to critisize here because it really looks a bit different from IRL but perhaps it is time now to make an own thread within the Feedback area if this becomes a more heated debate here?
