Planet Zoo: Twilight Pack arriving 18 Oct 🦇

Easy to see the team behind has become better at making certain animal types over time. A wolf redesign would have gotten me more excited than another fox.
The baby wolf was the first animal I genuinely thought was adorable. I hope they don’t change.

Quite a few really. It’s been discussed a lot but off the top of my head and without looking at a list, here are some. Some are just bad, others more stylised than recent animals.

Malayan tapir (in a league of its own disappointment)

Male lion

Grizzly bear

Himalayan brown bear

Timber wolf

Bactrian camel

Even the jaguar is looking a bit off compared with more recent cats.
I would also add the koala, something on it looks really strange. There's also something wrong on the cheetahs face

I have never seen them in that color before. Mine are always red-brownish which is part of what I dislike about them. But also the hair on the back should be longer and darker, at least on the males.
The image to the left shows what I mean, those I have seen in captivity in various places tend to look like that. I guess Frontier went with the one in the middle, but I believe that more reddish color comes partly from the mud in Africa, so they wouldn't end up like that in a zoo. Not sure about that though.

I don't have any problems with the base game wolves but i do admit the mod remaster looks better. Same with african wild dogs. But still i think all of them are ok even by current standards. The lion though... always looked bad to me from the start. It wasn't even on pair with the rest of the base game animals when the game launch.

The only animal I have a genuine problem design wise is the Malayan tapir… still haven’t used them

And I guess gharials walking like gators but that’s a rig thing

Oh how cute this fox is!!!!
Can someone share maybe pictures of all the types of colors the fox will have? I searched a bit and found only the silver, which I couldn't even identify in the screenshot.

We don't have them all yet! The two foxes in the screenshot (standard red fox and what looks like a cross fox with piebalding) are the only ones we've seen so far! We'll probably have to wait for the game to release to get visuals of all of the colour morphs.

Would add the snow leopard, orangutan, and the Formosan black bear (who IIRC still has the issue where its mouth never closes)

Some base game animals remaster would be a game changer.

I think I was misunderstood, I didn't mean foxes from the game but real life foxes, I just want to know what it looks like so I know what to expect.
And about the fox from the screenshot, I didn't know there was such a thing as combining two types of patterns!

Nah, adult wolves are massive, much larger than what most people think
I wasn't talking about anything subjective there though. Comparing published figures with the in-game sizes reveals they are slightly oversized. The largest wolves are northwestern wolves (Canis lupus occidentalis), which the in-game wolves are arguably based on. Even in that case they should range 68-91.5 cm tall at the shoulders, but the in-game wolves range 76-103 cm tall.

The in game wolves were actually meant to be Dire wolves all along...!
