🐾 Planet Zoo - Update 1.12 coming 13 Dec 🐾

but realisticly it will propaply be among the free update features that people will spend by far the most time on, so it really cant be called a bad addition.
I don't really see how you can say that since only like three or four streamers even jumped on the diorama bandwagon.

Anyway, I'm not complaining about getting new features, as long as someone uses it then it's by definition useful, it's just that I don't really have a high opinon of streaming as a profession in itself (nothing personal against streamers themselves, of course). That's a subject best left by the wayside, though.

Dinoramas are a neat building challange and giving it a dedicated mode makes them more accessible, which really doesnt hurt anybody and is quite nice.

Or is anybody here intending to spend alot of extra time on the game because of the tours?

I understand why this can be a meh addition to those focused on their big zoos, but realisticly it will propaply be among the free update features that people will spend by far the most time on, so it really cant be called a bad addition.

I don't want to judge too soon because there is always more to the free updates (and the smaller additions are sometimes even more exciting that the big ones), but if one of the three big additions are the diorama maps, then I feel like something more meaningful could be included into one of the big features. I like that they listen to the community, and the dioramas are pretty cool, but it was a quick little trend a few months ago, and then it died down. I'm pretty sure we could all certainly live without the new special mode for it.

And actually yes, the tours will definitely make me spend more time playing the game. It gives me an incentive to even better plan my zoos, and play with different groupings of animals. Plus, it's another management element which I am always happy to get.

I disagree about the last point. I believe we will see a resurrection of the dioramas, but it will quickly die down. I don't think many people will spend a lot of time on it. I'll definitely have a look because I'm curious, but I doubt it's something I will invest a lot of time in.

The thing is, dinoramas where pretty much a streamer only thing, but now everybody has easy access to it and with them being workshop compatibel im sure it will take no time till the workshop will be full of them.
Really i understand the meh feeling but after sleeping one night on it the dinoramas easily became my favorite part of the update as its simply a new way to enjoy the game.
Im sure many people will atleast try it out and some will even prefer it to the normal gameplay, i will certanly give it a shot and hopefully this will help me get hooked on the actual gameplay again.
When i load into my zoo its at the same time big but not big enough to just easily add stuff and aslong as i dont feel like specific areas cough cough elephant house cough cough it feels like i get nothing done.
The dinoramas will propaply really help against something like that and i can really see them as a great warm up after taking a break from the game

I don't use high maps, or the memorial plaques or the webcams with filters and I won't probably use the dioramas either, but I'm sure there are people who are enjoying those features. Not every single element in the update must please all players. Maybe implementing the diorama mode is much more easier to do than implementing a path system revamp.

Probably not gonna be a bird dlc. But if you think an Armadillo can fly then by all means.
Of course armadillos can fly 🤣

I love how you guys enhance the educators! Guided tours are an amazing addition in my eyes. The educators are already a lot more fun than when they were first introduced, so I'm happy to use the new function.
And the bulldozer seems to be useful as well. I'm not really into the diorama thing, but it's quite remarkable that a function is added after Rudi's inspiration.

Small update, but a nice one!

Honestly I'm a bit sad with this update, we have so many animal behaviours that are missing, who spend much time watching guest doing stuff?
I rather have more interaction between animals (many are missing) than watching guest having guided tours...
Blue Wildebeest in the trailer are running as a herd but in game no matter how big the enclosure is, they alway walk alone and stay alone, not realistic at all.

The diorama mode? I'll see if I'll find it useful or fun, the Bulldozer Tool willl be useful for sure 😌

Can't say I see this update being enough to rekindle my interest in the game. All the diorama mode is going to do is remind me of how terrible I am at designing my own things, and the update itself just feels...lackluster compared to the previous ones.

According to this website we are also getting in the update “a new heatmap tool displaying guest visibility for each habitat”.

This hasn’t been mentioned so far on forums or website but is mentioned here - https://www.eurogamer.net/planet-zo...-more-in-new-grasslands-animal-pack-expansion and also here - https://www.marketscreener.com/amp/...-species-with-Planet-Zoo-Grasslands-42462250/.

Not really exciting but defenetly usefull.
Sounds like a good feature just like the bulldozer.
Btw wouldnt it be really cute if we got a bulldozer prop together with the mode in the free update?
That would be super adorable
