Player rescue/salvage to reduce your rebuy

You've bitten off more than you can chew in an RES, or CMDR GankyMcSpanky has yanked you and killed you, or you ran into a Neutron star, or a pirate killed you in a fit of spite. So, to the rebuy screen you go.

What if, at the rebuy, there's an option that says "Wait X minutes for rescue"? Then, any player within, say, a 20ly radius, or any player that's enabled "player rescues" in a 50ly radius, gets a mission to get to your wreck, apply some rescue (repair limpet?). You get a message saying "CMDR RescueAngel is on the way!".
First in, first served. In the meantime, you've made a cup of tea, surfed the net, whatever. If nobody rescues you in the alloted time, or you lose patience, you just rebuy.

Benefits? Your rebuy is cut in half, or 90%, or 20%.. whatever. CMDR RescueAngel gets a cash bonus too, based on your rebuy cost. You get a new friend. They get a new friend. If CMDR GankyMcSpanky is still in the vicinity, hey; war is hell, and maybe they get an extra nasty notoriety boost or an ambulance-killer bounty or something.

What if it a player that like to scavenge. Would it cost more? Because they are taking more from your destroyed ship.

Maybe, but I don't see this as a major problem. In fact if a material (eg "dispersion plate" etc) has been blasted out of your ship then in "game theory" it would be cheaper to replace it with a new one back in dock. (i mean that theoretically to explain why it isn't really a problem for players to both scavenge some mats and also "rescue" you, I know modules can't actually be blasted out of a ship).

Also players could choose to set a LY radius to respond to rescue calls. So players who want to do it a lot could set a wide radius and specialise in rescues, players who want to rescue someone only if nearby set a narrow LY radius, and some players just opt out completely.

If (for example) your rebuy is cut by 50% for a successful rescue and the rescuer gets 30% of your rebuy, it's impossible to exploit by players killing each other because it's a net loss. There could also be a restriction on rescuing players you've killed or fired upon recently.
