That is indeed sad to hear. This makes it sound like it's a rather complicated thing to add.Got this crushing answer today:
"It's a substantial amount of work to make this happen to a quality level we'd be happy with and the community would be happy with. Right now, there are no plans to add a toggle (as suggested in this thread), but I've fed back to the team the request for kerbless paths."
That is devestating news. Actually a "small" thing like this is a super big thing for me to even return to the game that I otherwise adore.
Im not aware of such a feature, but it sounds like a rather good idea.i dont know maybe we can do a vote or a poll somewhere to show frontier how many people actually want this to be a feature? is there a voting feature here in this forum?
New sad more clear answer:
"We're not saying 'never' but right now it's not being worked on."

That's what the issue tracker is for. Once someone reports an issue and several people add their contribution to it, then it changes to confirmed and people can vote for it.i dont know maybe we can do a vote or a poll somewhere to show frontier how many people actually want this to be a feature? is there a voting feature here in this forum?
or some people are more familiar with issue trackers. That's what the issue tracker is for. Once someone reports an issue and several people add their contribution to it, then it changes to confirmed and people can vote for it.
I know many people don't trust the issue tracker and the tool can be very confusing, but that's still the best option to express our wishes.
Edit: I just checked and it turns out that nobody has reported on the issue tracker that we can't remove kerbs on paths... Maybe it's not that important for most players.
