Please make the game about more than pushing numbers!

It's barebones to be sure, but I'm seeing enhancements slowly...too slowly.

We're not seeing enhancements currently because Frontier is too busy with their E-sport ego in the CQC crap.

Completely disappointed and stopped playing Elite altogether for now and until they actually bring something worthwhile and non-CQC to the table. And having a remote controlled little rover on an asteroid surface will not suffice.

I stopped playing a few months ago, checked the forum, see it's still the same, the new beta is of the kind that does not interest me. Will check again, unfortunately it seems that when content that will get me interested again will be a paid expansion (eventually, not Horizons, as they it is at present), then well...

There are two ways to look at it - I got a lot out of the game, played a few hundred hours until I bled the shallow pool dry, or I got a lot less than the originally promised game world would give me.

Either way, a bit unfortunate, but once the game grows up - I will very likely be back for more.

You can do what I do?

Totally ignore Powerplay, don't align with any faction and simply do your own thing in game for fun and enjoyment?

My thinking also. Cut your own path but then if people get enjoyment from the Powerplay stuff then all the power to them (no pun intended). That is what I love about ED. You play it your own way and be as involved with the wider politics as you want. Personally, for the moment at least, I choose not to be and instead do my own thing.

The missions are mind-numbing dull and that is evident in Powerplay as well. Same for interdictions and RES sites. It's the same few scenarios over and over and over till you get bored to death.

Frontier please hire a expert to bring depth and variety to ED.

*** FD knows what they are doing and so far they've done an amazing job. From a small company after only a couple of years ED is an enjoyable title with more and more added. If you dig deeper into powerplay you'll see that it's a complex system and gives the opportunity to play a strategy game as well. It may not be for you if you find the anyway quite varied missions dull though, I like the tabletop structure, it gives the chance to plan the moves and brings the power supporter together for the case.
Interdictions have been fine tuned already and it pretty much fits the PP narrative so I don't see it as a problem.
Maybe you could take a break?

*** CQC is worthwhile and it's exactly the E-sport aspect which can draw more attention (and so more revenue for FD) towards the game so the development can bring you more on the table with Horizons than just a remote controlled rover. The "I want it now"-attitude doesn't help.
