Post Odyssey dreams?

Right, I'm going to cut this off at 9:00 am tomorrow morning to get these items included in Tuesday's show.
Are you going to list all the suggestions?
Because I am sure I can think of some more silly ones .... mainly including bananas, pineapples and pizza :p
 
I would love procedurally generated cities with buildings that we can enter and interact with.
the development video from 2012 mentioned cities - but I guess that might come somewhere in the future - we do not even have atmospheric planets with a thick enough atmosphere yet.
 
I think hunting was in their plan as well - for that there has to be game to hunt of course - it will come, even not quite yet.
lets hope we will be able to also hunt thargoids, if so: probably they will be spaceleg endgame boss types just like they are now in ships.
Exploring/salvaging/scavenging other ships (interiors) as mission objectives.
i would gladly see getting into shipwreck with that handheld laser cutter, and fight some pirates/ robots /alien life inside to get some loot and mission objective. also i would gladly see blowing up parts of ship to get some materials, just like in homeworld desserts of kharak:

After Odyssey is released what are the top three features you want Frontier to Focus on? (so let's not include the inevitable bug fixes etc!!!)

ELW and planets with "real" atmosphere (wind rain clouds oceans).
 
If not ship interiors, DEFINITELY Fleet carrier interiors. The ability to walk around our fleet carriers, interacting with our crew and chilling with our friends at the lounge before heading out together would be awesome. Make it happen Fdev, please!

Base building - even planet/entire system ownership: Elite Dangerous is one of those rare games where "real estate" isnt a problem, in a galaxy filled with 400 billion stars... I'm sure everyone could own a system lol

This. Think it would be really cool if we even could build really small stations. Think the size of Mir, ISS or Skylab. Or the similar for planetary stations.
 
1. PlayerBuildable bases (Whether it be a huge personal effort, or a combined group effort, actual colonising should be possible, utilising carriers make sense to give them more purpose, orbital station to begin with, then planetary)

2. Add ons for said bases, modules similar to carrier modules, orbital defence batteries, industrial modules for manufacture, hydroponic modules for food, passenger missions to bring in colonists, that actually raise the population numbers, raising gdp of industry etc ... Iteration basically.

3. Empire AND Alliance fleet carriers.

We already have them, unless you mean flying into upper, or some lower (in some conditions) atmosphere layers, and mine there for some gases, or to find some strange alien life forms?
There are a number of gas giants that have either water-based or ammonia-based life forms in the upper atmosphere. We need to be able to dive into them and go hunt space whales. Or defend those helpless space whales resulting in their gratitude in the form of showing us where the 60 tons of gold is floating around that they don't use anyway because they're whales.

Hey frontier where is any visual of water in this game, earthview from space doesn't county?

I haven't even seen the coffee pot leak! I smell Achilles heel cooking....I would go as far to say if the mystery of water is solved everything else will fall into play...use handwavium where applicable!

After all water is the lynchpin of life and effectively would make the game two inches deep and a mile wide instead of one?
 
1°)More things to explore on the planets (caves, forests, oceans, cities...)
2°)A gameplay related to the inside of the ships (because if you have the inside of the ships just to have the inside of the ships... well... it will be fun 5 minutes then it will be forgotten) like welcoming passengers or managing cargo loading/unloading.
3°)More ingame tools (navigation history, market search, service search, route planner,...) or even a kind of ingame internet where stations could have their own site presenting their services, companies like Lakon could present their ship catalog with promotional vids, where to buy them,...

4°)A bit more personal: support for touch screens (for example, it would be awesome to have consoles displayed on secondary touch screens)

  1. New mission types. E.g. CG-like missions to provide supplies to an under-construction station and when certain critera is met the station is completed and contributors over X pct get a trade discount or something
  2. New alien species e.g. inspired by Peter F Hamilton’s Silfen with their Silfen paths. Could include obscure missions to get exotix one off goods to be traded at black markets.
  3. Chained missions with more story like treasure hunt type missions. After Odysey these could span space, srv, and on foot sub missions.
