Great work FD, thanks for the updates!

As for the release, be a bit patient guys. This is quite a big update, and some implications you can not test properly considering the time it takes to do a PP "phase". Even a week from today would be a little bit cutting the beta short.

As for days of the week, I would not consider releasing something on a Friday - unless my dev team is up for a whole weekend of work. A Tuesday is much more sensible, even a Wed could do - other than that is... sub-optimal.

I tested this earlier today, and i can report that beta 5 made a MASSIVE improvement here. Can fuel scoop at about 50-60% effectiveness, heat stable (maybe a bit more).

Sweet. I still feel that it should go a little bit faster than it does (without stripping it bare that is) but for now I will gladly accept being able to travel with it.

Well, its the same with all the ships, the cockpits look stupidly massive and you see a tiny seat sat there on its own, very odd, its like the scale is wrong. The cockpits need re-scaled I think...or loads more seats added? As you say when you look at the little pilots seat for the diamondback surrounded by empty space it makes no sense...

This is expected to be next week, but will depend on what feedback comes in and what changes need to be made. Once the date is firm we’ll let you know.

They haven't told us anything yet therefore the date isn't firm yet.

The only thing they could say at this point is therefore the same thing again, AKA "once the date is firm we’ll let you know".

As for your wife...

If MY wife asked me about something that I couldn't give an answer to instantly, but instead told her that I would get back to her about it as soon as I knew and she still kept on asking the same question over and over again...well...I don't think "communication" would be how I described that verbal exchange...

While not looking as nice as those early concept arts, it's still cool to see these little touches of individuality among factions!

It doesn't even fit the white tone of the rest of the ship.

You are supposing that we will not get anything today because they pushed beta 6. This is a supposition according to a lack of communication.
Yes, "obviously" we will not get anything today, but we suppose it... Things changed, before the release, Frontier was much more communicating... I deplore that.

I don't get why people get so worked up and upset because there isn't a statement. The reality is they are no doubt discussing it all in detail at FD and trying to work out what it means before they make a plan and communicate it.

I'm sure once they know when is a realistic target for release they will tell us. They don't want to commit to a date unless they know they can deliver.
That would just give the professional complainers something else to whinge about.

Let the team do their work and us all have a little patience. We are grown ups after all not toddlers demanding a comfort blanket.

Good things are worth the wait.

the consumer is not always right, in fact some businesses learned this lesson a long time ago and they refuse service to customers they do not wish to be bothered dealing with... Too many people seem to think they have some god given right because they are a 'customer' it makes me laugh...

All is working fine, finally. Many thanks to the team. I can even set all to ultra settings without any stuttering (even in stations) which was not possible in 1.2
