While I like the overall idea, "no life support" sounds like a terrible design decision. :p I mean, would YOU implement such a system? I'd say all except life support systems go offline for the duration of the recharge. Oh, and just to put the cherry on top (so the PvP crowd doesn't go wild), make sure this operation generates a heat signature (so you can still be seen on the radar, as normal, and you won't go cold like during silent running) and make sure the operation cannot be cancelled once started.

Oh absolutely agreed on the heat, and no abort of course.

I say no life support during its use since even the most basic life support gives you a five minute tank, and if running it once takes a minute of this tank, you have four uses, thus putting a limit on it, adding a need for slightly tactical thinking, this also gives us a reason to buy better life support cause atm I can't think of a reason to bother.

Is the issue where real players are showing up as NPCs on on my radar part of any of these fixes? I'm on Windows 8.1 x64 Intel hd4400. Someone said it was a known Mac issue, so not sure if it will be fixed, I sure hope so soon if not. Kinda ruins the game play for me.

Lol, those "fixes"...

What a bunch of amateurs. Never seen anything like that before (except maybe on Planetside 2 dev team or the extremely slow and buggy progress of DayZ SA development)

ANOTHER update? I would prefer if the versions were properly beta-tested. Whilst the devs have been quick to respond with the updates, if the beta testing was done correctly and thoroughly there should be no need for four or five updates in a single week fixing dozens of issues a time.

Repair cost

You didn't fix the Imperial Clipper repair cost, it cost me around 240k, when I was somewhere around 76%.So, I damaged my ship a little right after that to make a screenshot of that insane repair cost.

What ever this was, it just broke exploration, now all of the "first discovered bys" have changed to "last visited by" as the data is being overwrote, feel really bad for zion as Sag A* isn't his anymore :(

Wait a minute... are you spreading FUD? I just checked. One of the systems i got first discovery on still shows First Discovered By with my name.

Prices of repairs are totally broken after the latest "hotfix" :(

Is it really so hard for developers to have one ship of each kind in the game and really check IN-GAME that patches and/or fixes works ????

Some odd items still needing a fix:

1) There are now no indicators that some of your cargo is haulage and it is possible to sell cargo you are carrying as part of a mission;
2) The system I am in has three announcements per trip from a Wedding Barge. The same three messages each time. It's getting a little tedious and looking like a bug;
3) As soon as I arrive in a system, I invariably receive a message "I've been looking for you" - but there are no other ships in the vicinity to send this message;
4) Enemies who interdict me no longer have any shields. This has to be a bug;
5) The bulletin board now takes up to thirty seconds to update or appear;
6) There is no 'victory music' when I destroy an enemy.

Good job FD, you done messed up repair costs yet again.

Hull Integrity costs didn't change with the patch ( event though you stated you "fixed it"...again ) , but now component and hull costs have skyrocketed.

External components ( weapons , boosters , etc ) now cost as much or more than hull integrity ...PER UNIT.

Not only that, but if you add up the costs in the repair screen...it doesn't even come close to what the repair all is asking.

What happened to Python repair costs?? I just paid above 100K for repairs when my ship was at about 95%. I thought the previous repair costs were too small but now it looks like in some cases they could exceed the cost of a new module.

This is a balancing fix. They massively reduced the cost for repairing integrity which was mostly normal wear and tear. This release they fixed the fact that no matter how much damage my python would take it would cost < 10k to repair all. Now it is a far more believable number. Even better, I'm paying to repair something that I either broke or let someone else break. The prices seem completely fair to me.

They do exceed it.

Repairing a shield booster now costs 20x as much as it would cost to buy a brand new one.

As I wrote in another thread, the repair prices are totally crazy. For Python for example the "Unit costs" are as follows:

Power plant - 1 Cr
FSD - 1Cr
Thrusters - 62 Cr
Shield booster - 26695 Cr
Chaff - 808 Cr
Beam laser - 6327 Cr
Burst laser - 19836 Cr
Hull - 121559 Cr
Docking computer - 428 Cr
Shield generator - 29 Cr
Paintwork - 10 Cr

It must be a bug, not an overall repair price change.

And you can sell it unrepaired for a full price and buy a new one I suppose.

Except they didnt intentionally change hull or module repair costs with the patch..they only ( yet again ) worked on hull integrity...because it is still broken.

And now external components are costing 20x to repair than the module is worth, while all other components still cost pennies.

Meanwhile...hull integrity still costs the absurdly high cost it has since 1.3 ...and the last 5 patches theyve tried to fix it with have done nothing lol.

Yep repair prices are now jacked up way beyond belief. You are actually better off in many cases simply removing the module and buying a new one. 2% of a shield booster costs 25k?? Might as well just remove anything higher than a vulture at this point, they finally fixed res-sites and now people are coming out with bounty vouches of 800k but repair costs of over a million lol..

If you are coming back with 1 million+ Repair costs then you are doing it wrong... http://imgur.com/mu54pud ...No damage taken, shield banks for days :D (And yes this was in one trip..Granted in a conda)
