... and I was drunk and missed it :)

But all seriousness, give them a break guys. With the E3 +xbone stuff they have enough to work on, probably skeleton crew on fixes. They did fix a couple of serious things, broke some others - it's a work in progress.

Xbone they (Fdev) did to themselves, and they were already struggling before that, so I have little sympathy. If they don't have the manpower to both develop that new part of this games cycle AND fix all the preexisting (and newly created) issues for the PC version, then they should hire more, or stop Xbone dev until they can get their **** together.

or maybe the staff are too busy taking all those stock options and filing all those corrections to companies house...

As a professional C programmer, me bang rock on face hard until bad memory go away.

Me not know what idiom is, but me kill it with NULL pointer. Me kill everything with NULL pointer.

I think windows might take 'Exception' to that ;)

As a c++ coder/programmer/software engineer/code monkey I understand the issues when multiple coders are working on a project and trying to debug it. It's amazing how people in the same room have completely different styles of code but still code using the same tools.

How many times can the same forum members threaten to quit, but they never actually seem to do it. Its just wah wah wah all the time. Thanks for making the RES sites awesome again.

As far as I remember it was introduced in Premium beta. I remember scooping the gold up :)

I remember only too well the despair of shooting T9 and seeing them drop Slaves only to have them overwritten by the dross that was dropped after.

However my point was that this has not been the case for a long time since as well as the examples I described I've also watched pirates frequently scoop over 40 tonnes on stream.

I also work in software development and there is a simpler explanation, someone knew what they should be doing but they had a blonde moment. Devs are not immune to them.
Yup we all mess up that's for sure ;-P

Has anyone mentioned the extra mouse cursor?

Ah, think about it as follows: xbone release is the cash cow that enables them to focus on the fixes. Judging by the speed and intensity they've been fixing things in the 1.3 beta, they can sort this out in a week - assuming they actually take care and not introduce more issues :) - ok maybe 2 weeks then. It's just a matter of Michael - or whoever makes the decision - to realize they actually NEED to put more manpower on fixes ASAP.

I personally have nothing against them taking stock options and bonuses, go for it guys. It's been fun playing this game, and I'm OK with a little bumpy ride now and then, I know how it is.

Wouldn't be surprised if 1.3.05 update, even if it was ready, finds itself on temporary hold ..
in case anyone can quickly spot the first discovery bug, and nip in the bud.

It's been found.

Hi everyone,

Just to update everyone on the situation here, this bug is confirmed to be a visual bug only and it only affects certain systems, the original player who first discovered these planets will be restored when everything is fixed

Thanks!

The most laughable thing is that the logical and reasonable repair price for something is really simple in game. Simple formula (with 95% insurance): 1% damage repair = 0.05% of module cost. 100% damage = 5% module cost. Nothing less, nothing more.

For 5.000.000 thrusters - 1% damage = 2.500 Cr repair, 10% damage 25.000 Cr repair, 100% damage - 250.000 Cr

Surely 100% damage basically means that you need a new one, so that should be 5,000,000 Cr?

I am currently doing combat Elite in CZ and definitely the progress is seen. Currently I am deadly, 31% left to Elite. What is the most important is that the progress depends on the ships you destroy and their rank. If you destroy mostly harmless Sidewinders - you can destroy one thousand of them and not see any progress. Elites, and especially Elite Pythons and Anacondas lead to a fast progress. I would also speculate whether you get the best progress for killing the enemies of your rank +/- 1.

Like the guy you answered to, I also did a whole load of RES kills since 1.3 and have not gotten a 1% increase on the bar - this at the low rank of Novice, where I previously saw an increase after far fewer kills.

Currently minor faction reputation will decay but to a capped level. There will be a change in the next update so that it doesn't however negative reputations will still restore slowly back to neutral.

Michael
Will we get our wrongly decayed reputation back after the fix? Doesn't seem fair to kill our reputation first and then fix it.

The missions now act like I'm a low level player and thus give me missions for that level. No more high level missions and good paying missions.

Also as someone mentioned either the LASERS are not doing damage anymore, or the higher level NPCs are far too strong. In the time it took to call in the system security I only managed yo take down the shields of a python. I am in a python too, and his wing buddy was a vulture.

I understand that you guy's are working tl fix things, but the things you changed had No problems before, at least not enough to take priority.

For the love of all things fun, STOP NINJA Nerfing /Buffing.
