Pre-order and Deluxe Vehicle Skins (JWE2)

The description for both the pre-order and deluxe skins state they can only be used in challenge and sandbox mode. As you may remember or are aware, the pre-order skins for the first title could be used in any game mode.

My question to Frontier is why restrict these skins to certain modes?

I was quite excited to have my pre-order InGen skinned vehicles wiz around my Jurassic Park San Diego park in Chaos Theory, as I thought they would be quite fitting - now I feel very disappointed that I potentially won't be able to do this.

I suspected one of the reasons for restricting the skins to certain modes is because their theme wouldn't fit into Campaign and Chaos Theory. But then again, you unlock the '93 JP Jeep skin in the Jurassic World Evolution's campaign by being in the air for 5 seconds - which could break the immersion feeling of Jurassic World.

Restrictions in a park-building-game are very annoying.
I also want to use these skins in Chaos Theorie mode.
And why there is no challenge mode for the tropical environment?
Bad decisions

Hi @Xeno195!

Campaign Mode and Chaos Theory are both narrative modes, and due to the themes and stories in those modes, they aren't available to use there.

Hey Jens! Thank you for responding!

I think I kinda predicted it was due to the theming of the modes, however wouldn't the InGen skins fit in too; for example the Lost World and JP3 (on assumption it would be based around InGen) chaos theory where InGen was heavily involved. And then for the Fallen Kingdom chaos theory (assuming it would be based about Claire and her group) that we could use the Dinosaur Protection Group skins, or in the main campaign (not knowing what Dominion will be about) if the Dinosaur Protection Group helps the U.S Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Why deny the player to use InGen skinned vehicles for InGen's CEO Peter Ludlow's revival of Jurassic Park: San Diego?
Why is acceptable for the first title to break continuity and have the use of the Jurassic Park '93 skin playable in the Main Campaign (when clearly in the Jurassic World era the original park is taboo by what Claire comments regarding Lowery's ebay bought Jurassic Park t-shirt)?

Could the decision be reconsidered on the basis that some of these skins would fit into the narrative of some levels/missions of these modes but not all? Or just give the player full control of his/her paid content to do what they wish; keep or break immersion/continuity by changing the skins?

Once again, thank you for your time.

That's kind of disappointing. I can see why they wouldn't be used in the campaign mode. But you would think we would be able to use them in Chaos Theory since they would fit with a lot of themes there, especially the JP era scenarios.

It is disappointing, and I am hoping that they change their mind on this later on. Giving players that little bit more customisation is always win, especially when these skins are paid content.
