I know what you mean. I found their "the end is near" attitude kind of annoying, even though I generally enjoy watching their videos, about that time I mostly stopped.
Also, I like to take inspiration from them as they are very talented builders, but you can only watch so many videos without it being repetitive. Usually photos are enough for me to look at, dont need to see a whole 30minute video of speedbuilds. I would rather watching them actually play franchise or challenge, manage the zoos, look at some cute animals from time to time, you know, some gameplay. But they all took their speedbuilds low view rate as a "proof" that "PZ will be dead soon, look at MY low view counts!", while the Steam charts were telling us a whole different story.
Yes, exactly! I love when content creators play franchise/challenge mode. I do enjoy their speed builds (although lately, I find myself just skimming through them quickly), and I already know they can make fantastic creations, but it's the franchise/challenge playthroughs that I enjoy the most. Though I have to say, sometimes their franchise/challenge playthroughs feel rushed, and they don't seem as dedicated to them as their sandbox builds.

Regarding the views, it's funny. Just because you're putting out PZ content doesn't mean it's
quality content.
There was a video of CC creators chatting about the game and whatnot, and there were a few remarks about the official forums and that didn't sit well with me. I respect and enjoy their content, but that wasn't right. Sure, the "20 of us" don't represent the whole community, but we're here because we love the game, we love this community, and we know Frontier checks the forums (probably much more than any other social media, and you can be sure they don't watch every single PZ video on Youtube). We're here to help, give feedback, and chat about something we like. They were talking about the community that they are part of, and they were talking about their viewers. I don't know why so many community members dislike the forums which is funny because we are also the same community on Reddit, Discord, Youtube...
The thing with some of the content creators (who I respect and whose content I enjoy) is that they come from Planco.
In general, people who like themepark simulators also like zoo simulators, but sometimes, the extent to which they enjoy each game is quite different. I won't give names here but some content creators simply got burnt out pretty soon because they had already been building and creating content extensively for 3-4 years in Planco, or simply because as people grow up we tend to play less and less. Hell, one of the major Planco content creators pretty much abandoned PZ after just ~2 months.
On the other hand, there are also "minor" content creators who are truely passionate about zoos and have actually created a channel specifically for PZ and it's kept growing and growing. It's these people who'll help keep the game alive and it's these people that Frontier should mostly focus on from now.
I think I know exactly who you're talking about. They admitted they got burned which I respect, but they were one of my favorites. I remember watching them all the time through beta.
I agree about other smaller creators. I am subbed to quite a few of them and I enjoy their content a lot.
