Prediction of Azimuth saga conclusion

Something Guardian but fully optional. They'll never touch the precious BGS princesses' work of YEARS (insert tears here).
The sand castle has been built upon for years. All they have to do is get the courage to knock a few parts of it down for a change. Imagine the turnout if players favorite systems were threatened with legitimate destruction. Sol under attack, Lave, Achenar. Do it Fdev! Break things!

I predict that initially it will destroy loads of Thargoid ships in and around the bubble, however later in the year we will start to see Thargoids once again larger and more dangerous than ever before. After that a new breed of Thargoid interceptor will be introduced that is immune to the waves effects.

The downed Thargoids will slowly vanish having been carted of for examination and a hybrid human Thargoid ship will also be concluded but this will be destroyed by the massive Thargoid ships as its a afront to their species.

That doesn't mean that there'll be much in the way of working human infrastructure left in the system though - the Musashi is obviously deliberately positioned outside the system it's coordinating defence for, allowing for both "doesn't work, everyone in the system overwhelmed by Thargoids before it can fire" and "does work but almost everyone in the system overwhelmed by Thargoids before it can fire".
Or, take out the Thargoids (at least temporarily) and a good chunk of the superpower fleets in one go as unfortunate collateral damage, and suddenly look like someone holding a lot of power (and lets assume Salvation's hand is not yet fully revealed and he has forces at his disposal that we aren't yet aware of).

Ok, so no actual idea. But perhaps: Thargoids are fully aware of this "weapon" and have already put in measures to turn it on its creators. All the PCs lured to HIP 22460 become Zombies when it is fired. Brains become a new rare commodity to transport in a CG to cure the zombie pandemic er ooops plague.

Two days into the Azimuth aftermath and I feel like I’d forgotten a huge part of the game is that the Guardians are an extinct race and the Thargoids are still alive.

🫣
Given how far advanced the Thargoids are did the guardian AI turn on its creator by choice?

I think we'll have a new wave of burning stations to repair and hopefully some new combat content. I'm a fan of Fred Saberhagen's Berserker series so I'm hoping for some Guardian automated killer ships but on foot Thargoid content does seem more likely.

Whatever it is there will be people who will be disappointed & others who will be happy no matter what, but fingers crossed this event becomes a success & helps to bring in more players.

I expected a fresh wave of burning stations to appear this morning & that doesn't seem to have happened (I can only check the galmap flags for Damaged & Repairing stations from my distant location). Maybe next Thursday?

New combat content seems on track, I guess new weapons & defensive modules will become available to Cmdrs over the next few weeks.

Still got my fingers crossed for Guardian Berserker ships :D
