Hi everyone hows you all,its great to be hear, but i have a little problem with the T flight i have all my bindings set and that is great and works fine but the problem is when im dogfighting or just flying around the joystick isn't responsive when pitching/climbing or moving left and right no response untill i have moved the joystick 60% then at that point i get full movement nothing in between no slow movement at all so it is hard to track ships but when i check in windows the slightest movement registers in the setup is this a problem with elite control settings or am i missing something ? thanks for any feedback .

Sounds like you've got it bound to "pitch/yaw/roll <direction>" rather than "pitch/yaw/roll axis" in each case.

This is great and I hope you update it for Beta 3 and launch, One thing might be nice to add is a keyboard binding in the profile to open the galaxy map.

Great information. I currently still use keyboard for few things but will continue working on my setup. Thanks to everyone for great suggestions.

Thanks for your Printable Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS reference sheet technome !

I have some issues though: when trying to land on the landing pad (in a training mission) I would like to use Thrust Up and Thrust Down, assuming this makes the ship go up or down vertically by using keys 5 an 6, but nothing happens. Lateral thrusters don't work either, button 11 deploys hard-points instead of heatsink. Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong ? Or are bindings changed in Beta 2. And how do I myself change the bindings of the T Flight Hotas ? Thanks.

Edit: Found the way to make my own bindings for the T-Flight HOTAS. I had to redo (and change) some of the bindings as described in your reference sheet as a lot of them were not working any more in Beta 2. Lets hope I do not have to do this again for Beta 3.

Quite new and finding my feet, I have the Thrustmaster T flight hotas X and am struggling to work out what the controls are. Is a binds file something that I can use to set the stick up as per the diagrams above?

Maybe somebody has a binds file to do that. I simply did it myself (and made some changes that make more sense to me for now). In the controls menu under options first select the T Flight Hotas X as controller, then scroll down and assign your buttons. I would suggest using the left entry for keyboard bindings and the right entry (there are two binding possibilities for every action keyboard and Hotas). I myself could not find a binding file on my pc so don't know where that is stored in the game.

Thank you for this guide, it was exactly what I was looking for.
I used to play Elite back in the 80s at the Commodore 64 only with keyboard, but, hey, we are in the
year 2014 now! Now I use the Thrustmaster and, also because of your fine guide, it works like a charm.

You can copy this file to C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings and it should appear in the Presets drop-down at the top of controls.

Beta 3

Does any one have this configuration file for Beta 3? I just brought the game and the joysticks. Can't wait to get stuck in.

Thanks :), I had manually setup my stick but its good to know for future builds/wipes :)

I am still using your setup and its great.Thx for it as its a real change from my old Extreme 3d pro to the Hotas.When i started it the first days i had the pdf file on my secondary monitor but now its saved in my brain.
Also i never had to update your binding on any beta update since i saved it as "Custom.binds" and not as "TmhotasXmods.binds" and still works on beta3
