Professor Alba Tesreau reports that unidentified objects have been seen near Wregoe SC-X b29-2

Just got a message from ex-Aegis scientist Professor Alba Tesreau after logging in today:

Commander,

This is Professor Alba Tesreau. In the past you have performed excellent work to support Aegis, and I am once again calling upon your help.

I have been informed that a drifting cluster of unidentified objects were recently spotted by a passing explorer, who declined to investigate further. Unfortunately I do not possess specifics, but have narrowed down the probable location to within 15 light years of the Wregoe SC-X b29-2 system.

With our organization forced to close down, an official investigation is impossible. Therefore, I am contacting independent pilots and asking them to search the region. It may prove to be a pointless mission, but I have reason to believe that this could be important to Aegis's future.

So I ask, perhaps for the final time. Will you help us?

Edit:

Objects found: Go to Wregoe TC-X b29-0. Check the six Degraded Emissions in the rings of Wregoe TC-X b29-0 AB 2, each one has a log explaining what happened to the Alexandria, the Aegis ship that went missing last year.

urgh, 22.094 LY from my position 🤷‍♂️

I don't know if this is it or not, but there are six Degraded Emissions in the rings of Wregoe TC-X b29-0 AB 2. A fleet carrier was already there.

The first DE I looked at has some wreckage, but no logs or anything exciting.

Signal sources directly in rings are a pretty good indication of being hand-placed. (Presumably also, no timer, no threat level indicator?) So it looks like you've found it - hopefully there's more clues in one of the others!
