I think you'll find that Saitek aren't supplying any more x52's until after Christmas - according to 2 suppliers I have orders with - I did manage to get one eventually but had to pay £110 for the standard x52

according on what you can notice in the small hud of the cockpit of the pilot, that should be an Anaconda.

but may be i wrong, everything is in the hands of the details' maniacs here lol

No your right, that is probably the Anaconda. It makes sense if that ship will be in the Alpha since they want to try out the balance between the big ships against the smaller ones.

Love the peek of the Anacondas cockpit BTW...that's roomy! :) Would love to stretch my legs in that one! :cool:

Finally, after watching this a couple more times since we got the kids to bed I just want to say congratulations to FD on their first real Dev Diary!! ;):p The other ones have been ok, but this is the real deal!! :cool: :D

I hope that future dev-diaries will be of this high quality, really enjoyed this video and finally get to seem so pre alpha footage!! I hope that Frontier are on track for a March release, although they did say they still had loads to do..

They will have "loads to do" the next couple of years if I get my way! :D

I'm not so sure it was an Anaconda - I only see two seats so maybe (gasp, please let it be true) it was a 2 man ship, the one and only ASP!!!!

You could play football in there! And I thought the constellations interior from Star Citizen was roomy. This blows it away. I may even forgo my cobra and travel the universe in that beauty ;)

Nah...that's an Anaconda alright.

  1. There are probably more seats behind the wall on the right. The cockpit curves.
  2. The cockpit windows match the Anacondas.
  3. The projection in front of the seat on the left is a dead giveaway. ;)

The closest we have gotten to see the Asp from the inside is this image IMO:

That window seem to match ship version 4 and 5 below pretty good. Not perfectly, but these are concepts after all. Those two were also FDs favorites according to the newsletter that showed these.

Yep, I'm waiting for this beauty myself. The Asp was my favorite too! :D

Oh yes! This game isn't done until I can seamlessly go from a galactic overview down to study an individual leaf on a tree inside a park. That park of course being a part of a huge bustling metropolis on an earth like planet! And even then I will probably question them why they haven't implemented NPCs with true AI yet! :p:D

Fantastic video.

While I loved the window scratch effects, the openness and good view of the combat through the windows and the holographic cockpit my favourite part was the shadow, reflections and highlighted areas from outside light sources. Added that bit extra realism to the world.

Well done to the team.

Makes you wonder how the cockpit/bridge of the XL Phanther clipper going look like :eek:
