Hat in War Thunder works fine.

If you do buy one, then the T.Flight HOTAS4 is meant to work with the following titles:

- Elite: Dangerous
- War Thunder
- EVE: Valkyrie
- Race the sun
- Starblood Arena
- Ace Combat 7

So not just for Elite if you're worried.

I didn't know Ace Combat 7 supported the Hotas 4. I was a fan of the series on PS1/PS2. Gotta keep an eye on it! ;)
Also, if i'm not mistaken, the Hotas 4 is also compatible with one or two games of the "Air Conflict" franchise.

Not on a ps4!

I know this thread is a little dated but if it's for the community, I got a Saitek X52 that I will try out.

I have used it to play War Thunder so I know the PS4 accepts its controls.

Interesting - getting mixed reports from Saitek users and PS4 but keep us updated when ED comes out whether the saitek works or not.

I'm thinking I'll pick up the Hotas 4 just for the PS4 release of ED. I'm been wanting to try one for awhile, but this just cinches it.

Thank you, this is exactly what we are looking for.

I will let you know the moment I get to play it on the 27th! Woot

Looking forward to see how you get on with this. Looks like I am going to go with DS4 for now

I too have decided to wait and see how others like their HOTAS before I slap down the cash. I'm confident that I'll be able to fly just fine with the DS4 in the meantime.

Personaly I've used both the DS4 and the Hotas 4 on my ps4 playing war thunder. The difference in my flight control is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better with the hotas than the ds4. I wish the dam thing work with NMS. One rarely sees videos of flight upoaded to utube using a ps4, being a pirate is almost impossible except to anyone who has completly mastered the ds4 controler. The overwhelming upload are via pc's and even then there generally so modded that they are of no use to ps4 players.

Thankfully I've used DS4 (and DS3 before it) for years, so I'm pretty good with my thumbs. I'm like those millennials you see typing with their thumbs on their cellphones. We all think, "Surely a real keyboard would be better!" but they grew up with thumb typing and are surprisingly good at it.

That said, I'll have a HOTAS in my Amazon shopping cart with my mouse pointer hovering over the "Checkout" button when I load up ED for the first time, just in case!

I am sure I will be getting a HOTAS having used one before for PC flight sims, it's just a matter of which one. If the only comptible one is the Hotas 4 then that will be the one but if a better one can be made to work..........[big grin]

My biggest problem with using the DS4 will be hitting multiple buttons at the same time, or trying to remember which is which. I have big(ish) hands, and the controller doesn't fit that easily. I've been trying different ways of holding it for Horizon Zero Dawn, and have been trying to keep forefingers on R1/L1, and middle fingers on R2/L2, but my forefingers keep wanting to hit R2/L2, and before I know it, my health is way down ... :(

I'll probably get the HOTAS eventually, but the DS4 is easier to use when lounging in the armchair.

It doesn't take as long as you think it's just abit overwhelming at first or if you view the controls on a list.

If you hold any contextual button for a second or so an onscreen overlay pops up in the middle of the screen so you can see what will happen depending on your next action :)

It takes alot longer to read that than use it :)

My biggest gripe with controllers is I always activate the thumbstick buttons by accident :(
