were do i even start? , pve mode has to be , the single most worst idea for ED i have heard yet. Even tho i have faith in FD not implementing it or anything like it i still want to rant about it.

Elite Dangerous inst a pvp centered game, its a game THAT has pvp , its not the focus ,
the threat of greifing is part of the DANGER of ED , if we take away all the threats away from players then why bother playing?

PVE/solo unfair advantages: i cant be the only one that has noticed its a lot easier to rank up / grind for money in solo mode. with how easy FD has made ED i can now go from sidewinder to conda in 2 weeks FLAT in solo mode, pve applies to that too

4 way split player groups: solo/groups/pve/open, it open will only have 1/4 of the players it should have and in open Eravate will be empty and only pvp hungry trolls will be at CGs


WHAT IS SO WRONG WITH PVP, THAT PLAYERS BEG FOR PVE MODE? I DON'T SEE REASONING FOR IT!, for the love of god, if you don't want to get greifed move from Eravate, join a clan , run away from the combat, or just plain learn to fight , i don't see why you have to go and ruin the game FOR THE PEOPLE THAT PLAY IT CORRECTLY IN OPEN!!

Griefers have made Open barren, dont blame other commanders just because they refuse to be your content.

I love open, but its been totally wrecked by people who prey on significantly less skilled commanders for cheap thrills..

You want PVP? Go onto reddit, join a PVP club, there are many ways to play PVP... unless of course you dont like fighting fair... .

greifers are part of the game. i lived with it when i was noob, other people have live with it when they were noobs , why are some people special? and have rights to avoid a solid part of the game

and open is only empty because noobs have accesses to solo mode, people take the path of less resistance, and solo mode is WAY easyer

Who says that anything is wrong with PvP? Nothing wrong with squid ink pizza, but I'm not eating it. Since Frontier is intent on MMO'izing Elite, a PvE mode would be welcome by many, and that's the simple point. It is not that there is anything wrong with PvP, but a simple admission that it's not for everyone. Surely that is not difficult on any level to comprehend? If it is, I'm not sure that I'm qualified to help you sort it out.

I rarely play in Solo, but it's kind of nice to have as an option when I get spawn camped by a griefer. If I get blown up leaving a station, before I can even leave the no-fire zone, I'm sure as hell not going out for seconds after paying the insurance buyback.

Nope. It isn't a 'danger of ED'. It has nothing to do with the game I purchased at all. I have no wish to play Space Morons with foul-mouthed juveniles. I bought ED for myself, to play my own way, possibly in the company of like-minded individuals. And no I don't need to 'learn to fight' - if I wanted to engage in PvP, I would do so in a game which actually encouraged real tactical skills in a meaningful combat environment, rather than the arbitrary arcade pew-pew of Elite. It simply lacks the content to be worth bothering with as a serious combat arena.

Can't blame players for not wanting to be murdered again and again by psychos with no penalty whatsoever. What happens if they're killed? They lose insurance money... hahahahahahahahahahaha.

A serial murderer needs stiff punishment, simple as that. And no, you'll never eliminate psychos completely but that's not a big deal if they are RARE...you will drastically reduce their population if actual crime mechanics are implemented. So that when you do come across one... you'll actually be shocked "that guy killed me for no reason... wow, what a psycho..." -- as opposed to the now "that guy killed me for no reason..... because he can... because there is no penalty for doing so... so really, why not?"

Blame ED devs for not giving any thought to an actual crime system... one that means something. One in which you can be a murderer if you want... but just like in the real world... their is a price to pay for murdering people... and that price is high.

They instead segregated us and the world is more lifeless for it.

I wanted a thriving star war-ish universe.... traders, smugglers, bounty hunters, explorers, high security, low security, trade convoys, raiding parties, etc. What I (we) got was nothing of the sort.

Game is great for awhile.... but it loses it's thrill once you get down a little deeper and see it with all it's flaws.

I dont think spawn camping is possible even with out solo or pg.. Stations are mini death stars. Its highly unlikely you can't jump away without being killed.. but yeah, solo is a way to esacpe. I wouldn't think less of anyone for using it if they felt the need.
