PvP League Season 4

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls!
We are proud to announce that Season 4 of the PvP League is upon us, organised by the community for the community. For people who don't know what the PvP league is, it is a tournament where groups participate to prove themselves and show off their skills. There can only be one winner to take the crown, may the best group win!

We have been graciously sponsored by FDev and there will be prizes for the winners:

First place:
6 Winners of Limited edition Frontier Krait skin (only 39 exist in game) and Community prize pack of their choice

Second place:
4 Winners of 2xCommunity prize pack of their choice

Third place:
2 Winners of Community prize pack of their choice

First place, each winner will get 1x Frontier Krait skin and a 1x Community Prize Pack
Second place, each winner gets 2x Community Prize Packs (two different ones of their choice.)
Third place, each winner gets 1x Community Prize Pack (of their choice.)


Season 4 will have groups like Smiling Dog Crew (SDC) , Nomads (NMD) , Top Tier (TT) , Ronin of Amarak (RoA) , Rebuy Screenus Maximus (R$M) and many more participating. It will unfortunately be a PC only tournament however if PS4/Xbox players are interested in using the discord to organise their own we would be happy to help. Basic rundown of the rules for the league:
Icy or Rocky rings, with Bo3 for the whole tournament with Double elimination style brackets. Teams can chose between icy and rocky rings for fights, however the quarter/semi/grand finals will be held in the same type of rings. Teams can either be in 4v4 with all medium ships or 6v6 with 4 mediums and 2 smalls per side. There is a restriction of 4 booster per ship and synthesis of any kind is banned. Certain weapons and special effects are banned to give people more flexibility with certain ships that get hardcountered, or effects that imbalance the game.

In Season 3 we used discord for organizing the league and found it extremely convenient to do so, unfortunately the old discord was lost and due to inactivity in the league scene, it died off. Hence the creation of a new discord server, This server will function the same way as the old one with groups getting their own roles and a single person from the group representing the group. In the discord there will be voting for rules & regulations related to the league and everything around it as well as organizing and managing all league related activities. We will be trying to keep it as salt free as possible without being overbearing. If you're interested in PvP and its happenings, its a good place to be! Hope to see you there!

I do not currently play ED but I remember my six appearances in the PvP Leagues as amongst the finest memories I have of the game. The training was gruelling, the organisation (for those responsible, both in the teams and administering the events) ... was even more gruelling.

Huge props to my old mate Bazinga! and everyone else involved in continuing this magnificent event.

To the victors: congrats in advance, well played. You will deserve it.

To every other participant in the PvP League: remember that merely by having the courage to take part on the public stage, on video, you have put yourself head and shoulders above any who speak and type about PvP yet do not act. That is your own victory.

I hope more players sign up for this than last time, it was a little disappointing that so few PvPers took part.

It was a fun watch, especially the after fight shenanigans [up]

We had a lot of teams last season, i think you might be confusing it with some other tournament or league. Also, we already have 9 teams signed up right now, 2 days into sign ups with 3 entering soon atleast. Should be fun

Official Starting date has been set to 27th October and ruleset has been finalized as well

EVE Online finally proved to me what I always suspected, that open world PVP did not work, does not work and will not work ever. At least not for me. I prefer arena based ranked PVP (see DOTA) because I like the challenge and the actual learning experience. But some people love this kind of PVP so all the kudos to them.

It's great that you organize such events and I could even consider joining you if I was not far far away at Colonia. Good luck !!!!

This is about the only announcement I've seen of late that has made me want to fire up the game.

This can be categorised (very easily), it therefore should be. I can appreciate that the OP may not be familiar with the forum however, hence I made the request myself rather than explaining how to go about doing it themselves.

I'm sure the mods would rather this sort of thing be done twice than not at all.

This is unambiguously a PvP topic.
