Quasi-random, transistion buys?
From my post in the other thread...
Last night it looked like if were carrying rare goods over the transition from Gamma 1.05 to 2.00 the cargo you were carrying will be worth less than you bought it for, regardless of the market.
If you go and re-buy it in 2.00, the correct market values would be seen.
Two of us carried rares over the update, and in both cases it was worthless, mine at a system that had 3(!) visitors in the last 24 hrs, so it's extremely unlikely that anyone "flooded" that system with Whisky!
Re-buying both Eranin Whisky and Lavian Briandy worked as expected, although there were only two Lavian Brandies to be had (coincidence?) The Lavian Brandy was worth about CR16,000 at Eranin, which was about CR1000 less than 1.05. That being said, there were 33 Eranin Whisky to be bought, which I sold at Njikam for about CR150,000 (only 90LY)
It could be that there was just some weird DB stuff going on in the background, or their attempt to nerf the system just buggered things up!
They just need to put a complete stop to this nonsense and kill rares, as it's a complete distraction from the game itself. (we're just screwing around, and intend to self-wipe on the 16th since that was always the "plan")
