RAXXLA: Official statement from FD ?

It's very courious that a forum moderator wished me luck when I said I was headed out to the location and within thirty minutes, The OP deletes his comments, while the moderator closes the thread a few moments after this. Now I read a FB blurb that points to "conspericies" by FDev with the OP being banned, and those finding Raxxla subject to NDA's.

I'm standing on the referenced planet now, with Riverside having claimed the balance of the system with both of use stating nothing was found. If I'm not mistaken someone stated finding a ship there, a PIO and some canisters. Well, I found nothing, no PIO, no ships and nothing to scoop up.

If there was a PIO and stuff to collect, the only way that could have been removed is by "you know who".

If "you know who" is involved, rather than behave covertly to protect a place that is only "rumored" to exist, I think "you know who" owes the community a more reasonable explanation of events.

In five years of play and forum posts, I have never seen anything that compares to what we witnessed with the "I found Raxxla" post and the claims made, aside from the OP's original post of having found it.

I can promise it doesnt go that deep.

And those POI's like on Kwatis Co'ords were RNG just the same. Onetime there was a beacon, one time there was ships, and another time a set of buildings.

But it doesnt hurt to check some things out. And Fdev wants us to find it. They will make it hard but not do some goofy stuff like that.

He deleted his own comments.

Only thing that throws me off is. Can you edit the title of your post yourself after it was submitted.... But that doesnt mean anything.

that's what people are saying but I was in that thread (and refreshing for new posts) and I never lost access to it. Saw OP posts get deleted and thread locked but I never lost access or had it disappear like it was deleted.

and this thread is far more entertaining than that one was. And the info has been repoated here and NOT deleted or censored or otherwise molested.

I saw the original thread through the first page. I checked the forums again later and this thread had just been posted. At that point in time the first thread was no longer up. When the original thread came back up all of the OP posts were edited to "..." (They may had been that way before, I just didn't see it).

I'm with you though, I don't think it's a conspiracy to silence. I'd guess it came down for moderation reasons we don't know.

its a sad day in Elite Dangerous when the most exciting thing in the game is happening in a forum outsode the game based on a troll post.

however.....Founder's World is an ELW. The Dark Wheel is a faction in thr system. It requires Elite rank to access. It has been in the game since BEFORE 1.0

Mystery solved as far as I'm concerned. The notion that there's magical gateway to other galaxies which would have required a fair bit of coding and hosting multiple galaxies which have remained unused for YEARS and was coded at the time of initial release of the game is preposterous.

The POI found was probably a random POI....sounds exactly like every other random POI.

It was just a coincidence I think, I mode flipped to check for persistence & it disappeared. It was a couple of km from the exact co-ordinates (so the target was within the blue POI circle range) so I just drove my SRV to the spot where I took the screengrab.

We know nothing about the OP. I checked his bio and only found six posts, all with the claim he made. Nothing else about him and no other posts to this forum. His bio stated he had been a forum member since 2016, but said nothing until yesterday, and then makes an extraordinary claim which was investigated and during the investigation, the OP, his posts, and his bio all disappeared with an off-site claim he was banned. A troll does not do these things.

in what universe? this is EXACTLY what a troll does!

He's probably gotten more attention from his 6 posts than he's gotten his whole life from anybody missing an X chromasome.

HAS he been banned? He could have just as easily deleted/renamed his own account.

If it's Braxxla you already found it. Multiple times!

Out of curiosity, did you wear a bra on your head when looking for those instead of a tinfoil hat?!
No, not much of a "something on my head" guy. But I will say, I did sit for a fair few minutes before jumping into that first system. 44kly's out in the black...what if this is it? What if I jump in and get interdicted by a wing of Elite NPC's? What if it's full of lizard people and aliens? What if....well the list goes on. Needless to say after four brown dwarves and countless chunks of ice later, I was pretty convinced that I was going to be OK.

At the time (in the real time as it was all taking place), that seemed to be very odd for sure.

Alas, whatever happened, the trail has gone stone cold. 😕

Well what ever he found, couldn't have been Raxxla, because the " 8th moon of the unidentified gas giant " is reference to the hidden Dark Wheel base, not Raxxla.

Was wondering about that too. Besides that, in this system the 8th moon is a bit ambiguous, because 7 and 8 are a double system.

Thing is, this forum does have a tradition of oddballs claiming that various random planets/stations/POIs are "Raxxla" and causing a fuss about it.

As a mod', you get to see a member's IP address, as well as access to a forum where "oddballs" will be noted, so you might have more information about a member's previous activities and alt-accounts than regular members have.

Personally, I'd suggest that any post/thread claiming to have located Raxxla that doesn't include a screenie can immediately discounted as cobblers.
Let's face it, as soon as anybody sees anything strange, they're going to start pounding the screenshot button.

And, as for the whole "You don't get the goodies if you tell anybody else" theory, I can't really imagine that being a tough choice for many people.
A free "I found Raxxla" decal or eternal internet fame and the adoration of the masses?
Hmmm, let me think about that for a couple of milliseconds.....

This is very true. At the time, I checked out on Google to see if stuff was being reported elsewhere, and there was nothing (although a previous post here refers to Reddit and Facebook posts, so I missed those) and I would have expected images to be flashing around everywhere !

Edit - Hmmmm ... can you take photos of "a journey" as Michael Brookes expressed it ?

Those who found Raxxla get a free Cobra Mk IV - that will absolutely keep them quiet!
🤪

If I had to guess, I would be willing to bet that the OP saw an RNG crashed satellite thingiemahjigger. The first time I saw one of those on an abandoned planet, I thought I was fittin'a be forum famous. Then I found out what it was and felt a bit silly. That's what I'm guessing happened here.

"ZOMGWTFBBBQ!!1!1!!!11!!!eleven!!1 This is totally Raxxla. On the eighth moon, too! And it even has this big blue circle on the radar guiding me in. Yup, totes Raxxla."

Does anyone really believe that Raxxla is an actual real place that you can visit in some meaningful way, and not just some bullcrap made up by FDev to string people along thinking there's some great conspiratorial mystery when in reality there's just.... nothing.....?

It fits the MO of the rest of the game, a shallow empty promise hyped up way beyond reality.

No, I totally believe it is an ELW out there with a tourist beacon in orbit since the introduction of those. I don't expect to be able to interact with it in any meaningful way, but I do expect that it is in-game as a visitable, visual location.

This is exactly what a troll does.
