OK, not exactly a mirror, but a display in ship's cockpit, showing the pilot their surroundings. One camera / sensor on the ship's bow, one camera on the ship's stern, one camera on the port side, one camera on the starboard side, one camera on the keel. Each offering angle of view between 90 and 120 degrees or simply consisitent with graphics settings of the game.
The display gets switched on and off with a key binding (so like the side panels now) in front of the pilot and the pilot can switch between the cameras as well as have a view from all of them at the same time.
It could be displayed on the canopy and above the radar. It could show holographic view instead of actual footage to remain consistent with other HUD elements. So pretty much like an improved version of cargo scoop GUI, with the difference of showing other sides of the ship.
All other controls remain operational, so the pilot can still control all of the functions of their vessel. The purpose would be to aid manouvering of the ship in situations like landing / take off or mining.
Definitely not a separate module, this should be a standard equipment for every ship.
