It's very good that the Prince is investing in it.

But he shows the example ? I guess that he still uses big cars, his private jet, and his jet ski when he's on an island ?

It's very good that more and more celebrities are reacting, but if it's just to tell others to make an effort, it's not very fair.

Is the Prince and all these elites from around the world willing to use small cars ? To limit much their flight by plane toward other countries, using the video conference ?

It would already be a first step.
Well, he did have his E-Type Jaguar, converted to Electric. Which is offering a good example to others. An expensive example, but still, an example, all the same.

Not much of a development. You'd be hard pressed to find something more biased than an op-ed by an analyst from The Heartland Institute written for The Epoch Times. The original source isn't any better, and tries to obfuscate issues with blatantly fallacious arguments.

While there are a few good points in any counter argument, trying to use them as cover for this sort of nonsense is just as ridiculous as claiming the world will end in a decade if emissions aren't limited to impossible levels.

Ultimately, there is no way anyone capable of drafting this document could possibly believe it would be taken seriously by the UN. So, it's almost certainly just a propaganda stunt.

The propaganda of the denialists about the global warming and the damage done by the human activities, is certainly a propaganda supported by the industrial and financial lobbies.

These raptors with their short-term vision who are ready to sacrifice the planet and their children to fill their pockets.

Im simply amazed at the falling inline and instep to people who care very little about its own Country and sovereignty... yet they call to protect nature??
how is Nature more important than people of their own country?
Some people just get caught up hook line and sinker with the virtue signalling from either celebs or high-profile elites!!
SMH

Humans cannot live outside of an operating ecosystem. Maintaining our life support should be the first priority.

It's not a hard concept to grasp. Try living without water for a week, or oxygen for 5 minutes. It wont go well.

We can and should differ on HOW to go about it.

Those without the required literacy ought to simply be ignored, so the best ideas get debated. If we're calculating how to handle dosages in a kidney failure case, nobody asks the sandwich lady for anything but cheese or tuna fish, please.

Sadly, the current debate is full of sandwich ladies input. I consider myself a climate sandwich lady, and do not argue with the science.

I never go to the mods. And try reading up on Midgely...

Yes. Let's do that, shall we:

"Can you imagine how much money we're going to make with this? We're going to make 200 million dollars, maybe even more," said Thomas Midgley, during a phone conversation with Charles Kettering in 1923, while he was recovering from lead poisoning after demonstrating it was totally safe by inhaling leaded gas for 60 seconds.

The more he gets exposed, the better.

He's crooked, duplicitous, rich, white, in bed with industry, ignorant of the obvious effects of simple science even when its smacking him in the face, willing to poison kids, cover up his own failures, in service to the almighty dollar, and harmed the entire planet before screwing himself to death with his own incompetent stupidity.

So yeah. Checks every pathetic box for red hatters.
Build him a statue, why dont you? After all, the lead poisoning probably helped make you the way you are today.

Sure, now we're getting into the game of "my sources that I agree with are awesome, and your sources that I don't are blatantly false and outrageous?" The joke is believing the UN's own propaganda stunt(s).

I'll get right on that:)

Well it is 'business as usual' in terms of the Heartland Institute:

A bit like our own Global Warming Policy Foundation in the uk:

They have a few scientists on the books that put out the occasional report in support of fracking and mostly climate change denial papers. 100% pure propoganda (and not taken at all seriously by the majority of scientists that actually work in the field). So yeah we can safely ignore anything coming out of such bodies as it is 100% certain that they will be very much viewed like the 'scientists' the tobbacco industry used to try to tell us all smoking was not harmful for you.

In terms of very real climate change reports, this sounds bad down in Australia:

'Australia’s vast carbon sink releasing millions of tonnes of CO2 back into atmosphere':

Australia’s mangroves, tidal marshes and seagrass meadows are absorbing about 20m tonnes of carbon dioxide every year, according to a major new study that is the first to measure in detail the climate benefits of the coastal ecosystems.

But the study, published in the journal Nature Communications, warns that degradation of these “vegetated coastal ecosystems” was already seeing 3 million tonnes of CO2 per year being released back into the atmosphere.

The study reveals Australia’s vast coastlines represent between 5% and 11% of all the so called “blue carbon” locked up in mangroves, seagrasses and tidal marshes globally.

Some 44 scientists from 33 different research institutions collaborated on the study, which began in 2014.

Dr Oscar Serrano, at Edith Cowan University’s Centre for Marine Ecosystems Research, said it found the coastal ecosystems stored between 4,000m tonnes and 6,300m tonnes of CO2. Australia’s annual emissions hit a record high in 2018 of 558.4m tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent.

Serrano said: “When these ecosystems are damaged by storms, heatwaves, dredging or other human development, the carbon dioxide stored in their biomass and soils beneath them can make its way back into the environment, contributing to climate change.

“Globally, vegetated coastal ecosystems are being lost twice as fast as tropical rainforests despite covering a fraction of the area.”

Coastal ecosystems store carbon in their soils as well as in the plants themselves and, once absorbed, the carbon can be locked away for thousands of years if undisturbed. They are able to absorb at up to 40 times faster than forests.

“They also protect the coasts from erosion, are important nurseries for fisheries and they clear up the water so it’s very important for several reasons that we preserve these ecosystems,” Serrano said.

He said the ecosystems were being impacted by coastal developments, dredging and by climate change.

It sounds much like the CO2 emissions increase from the permafrost, in that we have hit some early tipping point in these systems in part due to the effects of AGW already, and those kind of feedback loops will carry on increasing as we carry on increased CO2 output vs switching to green and carbon neutral energy production and use etc.

Unbelievable this kind of reasoning !

You are a human of flesh and blood, not constituted with metal and electric wire.

Yes thats quite correct! and if you had any skill in discerning what the Government Machine has lined up for the dummies.. you would care more for the people.. being deceived..

but alas how can one help someone... who wishes to not be helped
or how can you open someones eyes who claims they can see already
or lastly.. how do you tell a fool he has been fooled!!

such is Climate change and the agenda behind the governments support

Isnt it odd.. how the world has been turned on its head with all the deception of both climate change, gender issues, leadership issues
Climate is said to be natures perpetual sustainer of life on earth...
and yet the deceivers call out climate to be now sick and making the rest of the earth sick,,
amazing turn around

and again with the leadership roles..
Little Greta rebuking world leaders.. for their inaction to climate change
little ones leading?? is this the direct opposite to the norms of both society and the principles within the bible.

Do i need to state the gender issues that have turned everything upside down??
It is the inevitablility of what would occur when people choose to remove themselves from Godly principles
Isaiah 5:20

wake up people!!

Isaiah 5:20.

A piece of text, that has basically survived, in tact; since it was first out onto parchment. Throughout all the changes, to the big Latin Book; over the centuries. It has remained the same.

Why is this? We have to ask. Well, because it is a statement, of the obvious. :D

God will not help you, if you lie and get caught.
