v4.1.4.7 is now up - this resolves the issue with a comma separator for decimals rather than a period (i.e. non EN/US number formatting).

Yeah - I have a similar update planned for the BPC which moves all the queries into SQL and temp tables. Just not had time to release it yet. Should be out in the next day or so.

Hi Slopey - great work - if you want background info I can PM you any info from my machine.

The Log directory search only looks in the same directory each time C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\Frontier_Developments\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-1001 is my location, but it only reports \.....FDEV-D-1000 and does not increment to the higher number.

From 4.1.4.3, .5, .6 & current .7 each time the auto-update has been reset and the system updates from the server - the old MySQL I could manually delete all the lines above my own entries - I was trying to have a .bat file run a backup - but your new feature works great, but I have had to use it every time.

Win 8.1 Pro 64bit English UK - both US & UK English keyboards - current default UK.

EDIT: As the credits/cargo capacity & range are all reset each time as well - would it be possible for the ED_BPC.exe config file to be read by the program allow this to be bypassed - have the config file to contain

log dir=C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\Frontier_Developments\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-1001;
auto-update=n;
credits=xxxxxxxx;
CargoCapacity=32

These would then be continued even though all the rest of the BPC is updated?

I am not a programmer - so I am not aware how much this development would entail - or if it is your future plans.

Thank you for great continued support and development of this tool.

EDIT2: - OK - this should happen but isn't as highlighted by wizzie - I have 2 groups of sub folders Rev 1.7-1.9 (early Beta) then the latest under C:\Users\..\AppData\Local\Slopey.com\ED_BPC.exe_Url_cnffkhlp1cy24vzh23fg4iomzozi0vs2 from 3.08.0 to current 4.1.4.7 each with a user.config file within.

Just FYI. The Autoupdater is creating a new folder named after the version number in the %appdata% folder every update, which is the reason it doesn't retain the users preferences (no user.config in the new folder).

You might want to change that to keeping the same name and just make a backup of user.config for each update.

i have the following issues with the latest ver (4.1.4.6)
1) when i click on search and no results are found (showing 0)
i can still click on the "stop" button and it will change to "stopping" for ever
2) when i do a search from Shinrarta -> any system and click on "within distance" and set it to even 100ly , no results is shown
3) how can we see the travel distance in the search results?

That is probably my issue then, I just uninstalled, deleted everything I could find in appdata, new install new location and the update over wrote my settings again.

Ahhh - ok - doesn't do it on my machine here. Must be something to do with the updater - I'll check it. Many thanks for the heads up! :)

1) - I'm aware of that - I'll tidy it up. You can still use the BPC though, just ignore it if it doesn't go away.
2) - FD didn't provide coordinates for Shinrata, so you can't do a distance search for it
3) - just toggle on and off the "show distance" checkbox and the distance column will appear

Since adding "VerboseLogging="1" into your AppConfig.xml " the System select option when updating prices is greyed out so I can't change it. I import from OCR and since I do this while flying from systems, I normally have moved from the system where my prices need updating from. Is there an option so I can selected this or do I have to change VerboseLogging="0" to update prices?

Love this tool Slopey :) thanks for the hardwork :)

Just a word to Slopey here - I popped by the Chatroom but he wasn't there. I would like to thank him for all his hard work - This tool is awesome, it really iS! I would have donated some money but clearly Slopey doesn't want want it, so how about Scopey's Trade tool? we give the money we would have donated to Scope... or a charity closer to Slopey's heart (If he has one!) :D

Slopey - further to the export issue :

When I export to xlsx I only see a 3kb file. I'm pretty sure that's not correct as the prices file for say Trade Dangerous is over 4mb. To convert to csv or load in Libre Office I have to edit the (compressed?) xlsx files sheet0 entries to read sheet 1 and change the font to system in Libre Calc. All this achieves sadly is to properly adjust the cell width to the text contained, there is still no data. Furthermore when converted to csv the file reduces to 1kb (sizes as read by windows explorer).

We changed the import format to .bpc to reduce the amount of errors in BPC. Basically it's just more restrictive CSV.
I'm sorry but you will not be able to import your old CSV files as far as I know.
From now on export your data to .bcp in eliteOCR

..it's been a bad day fro me using slopeys tool, auto update issues have wrecked my data, (I was using it in local mode and had the force update bug), now I can't enter my csv/OCR data back into it.

Any chance we could have some way to put station data into the tool, blackmarket, outfitting, repairs ect? That might cheer me up! :D

Heh I see the problem is in fact user error :) I was pressing export from the BPC tab and getting the empty file. Exportinmg from commodities or system data tab working fine. My derp.

Something strange is happening for me since these last few updates, it looks like importing .bpc files is taking a very long time. Here's how a system I just added looks in the system view:

It's as if it only adds 2-3 commods per minute over an extended period of time, and the BPC also becomes unresponsive for a few seconds as it does. It also took a very long time to download data after the latest upgrade, could it be something with the connection to the server?

Hi,

I am the only one getting "Download Error - Will Retry", then "Please wait until the BPC is finished parsing" when clicking on buttons?
