The stations, that are displayed at TDM are registered stations, unregistered are not shown. You can delete all unregistered station in the process of transfer. You will be questioned, if you want transfer the unregistered stations from your old database. Click on "NO" to delete them from your new database.

On default, the TCE database includes the unregistered stations. If you want to get rid of them, you have to use TDM, when creating a new without them. This have to be done only once for your database, because if you get a new version of TCE, you have to use TDM to make your old database compatible with the new version. If your old database didn't have an unregistered station, the new one will also have no unregistered stations.

See!!?? I DID do something wrong when I installed 1.55 I should have clicked "no" instead of mindlessly clicking "yes" the first time without understanding what it was asking. Sorry man.

It shows the ones I've been to, but it also shows the unreg ones too. The unreg ones are greyed out and show star system, space station, distance, but show "no data" for the profit and update. I typed sfc /scannow in Command Prompt. It fixed some errors. I restarted my computer and reinstalled office, but if i try to save new star system i get error 13

Oh, I did a mistake. The TCE.tdm file is not the right one for this release, because it holds all unregistered stations, but it shouldn't. Will update the full-release version to correct the issue. Please redownload the full installer to correct the problem. I will tell, if the version is corrected. Thanks for finding the issue.

Did as you instructed here and chose "no" when asked if I wanted to keep unreg stations when using TDM. All "no data" unreg stations no longer showing in TCE.

Did you run another instance of TCE/Excel in the back? A restart of your PC should normally fix the problem, or kill the Excel process at the taskmgr, if there is one before starting.

hehe, I did try turning it off and turning on again but yes, even after a fresh reboot I still get the "locked by another user" I am using the icon the desktop that was automatically created.

I have checked the the taskmanager before launching to make sure no other instance is running.
I have just noticed the new 1.55 version is up so I will give that a go and see if the issue returns.
oh I just had a thought.... I am using windows 10, and windows 10 has a feature which adds frequently used files to a quick access menu. (goes away to check)....... yep. TCE.xlsm was there in the quick access, I removed it from the quick access and now seems to be fixed... hmm.... could just be coincidental. will let you know..

Ok..here we go... I have been kind of curious to try this software out...been considering it since February...mainly because it looks way more complex than the one I have right now -Cmdr's Log- and I am not a computer's person: I just go install -yes-yes-yes...and if it asks me something different I cry and call 911!!

I know...such a user! But well..here goes, seems you have come a long, long way and there is instructions and all added!! So I think I can do this and install it -or at least try to! And give it a chance!

For me is very important that I do the entries of the station..don't want anything being fed...and seems your software does that beautifully. So, yup, will give it a go tonight!

Wish me luck with installation and will report back after I get it up and running!!

Having trouble installing the new file. The TCE_setup.exe just opens three processes of it self that i can not close even with the cmd prompt any time i try running it. It just hangs and does nothing.

Please check your TCE_setup.bat file, if there are multiple TCE_setup.xlsm command lines. Remove all until one is left.
This could happen, if you install TCE into your last version folder.

I have deleted the entire folder sans EliteOCR and even went as far to delete TCE files from the registry. Still doesn't want to install.

The TCE_setup.exe is a self-extracting file. Perhaps the file is damaged. Please redownload it. I checked the file here and all is working fine.
TCE itself didn't make any entries to the registry.

You can use also the Source-Files for installation, but it is more complex. Please follow the steps noted at this post.

Second off, I seem to have found another bug;

If you cancel out of assigning a star type the script fails. Then Fails hard.

Also, does anyone know what star type this one is? (And is there a way to change the exploration info for a system when you're no longer anywhere near it?)



EDIT: Also, if you go to the Explorations Activities panel and select one of the exploration items, the note only shows up if you click the 'Notes' heading off to the right. Is there supposed to be a list of which systems that includes or just a count (no second panel listing them like in the trade activities?)?

Hi there,

both issue are fixed for the next update. A list of explored star systems is not saved, therefore no second tab. The database is limited to 255 chars/entry, so there is no room for many names.
Red giants could be M or K-type stars.

I haven't been to G 141-21 system since 09/01/2015, it has 9 stations, I have 9 stations in my DB, however every station there is now different to my DB, how things change.

Only 437 stations to visit and update.

But then when Horizons comes out we'll have new commodities, that's 500 plus stations to update again... I love this game

God forbid FD actually implemented something useful of their own when it comes to trading and general info.
Its like they dont want "that" kind of realisme. They go for it everywhere else... but when it comes to trade data and general info. NOP. We'd rather you just figured things out yourself. Wich can be fun admittedly. But with Elite every trade is very vague, unless you have been on that route before. Thats the thing, you cant find routes without going through them first. Sometimes you make a scrap buck and sometimes at a loss, even though the station says it is exporting beer to (X) system. Grrrreat.
