Guests visit your zoo not just to watch your animals, but also to learn about them, their habitat, and their needs. Our in-game Zoopedia has been carefully researched and will automatically display information of the animal whose habitat you link the sign to!

We notice that the screens have been improved since E3, they show more infos, it's great! :D

This looks excellent. I wonder if there will be the opportunity for a degree of customisation in terms of the layout, pic etc. because that would make this feature even better.

What do you think about the number 4 on the bottom right?
It seems to indicate that this is not a board but a monitor with various screens that follow one after the other; maybe more research you do, more screens with different images and informations you can show on the monitors.
Another possibility is that the number indicate the progress in research: in the E3 screens there was a number 1 on the bottom right of the screen and only one information: the name of the animal. Here we have a 4 and four info: name, biome (icon bottom left, probably Savannah), IUCN rating (CR in this case) and Continent (map: Africa).

The first thing I thought of is that it's the number of the exhibit. In my local zoo the exhibits are numbered from 1 through 73, and people can visit them in order and see everything while keeping the walking distance minimal.

I'm not expecting nything like it in the base game but if they do ever expand the educations system it would be really interesting to introduce interactive things (like planco now has some small games) because you are seeing them more and more in zoos and museums. Even none digital stuff like measuring their size against different animals etc. Also still hoping they might include scheduled keeper talks because no decent size modern zoo doesn't have them nowadays.

I must say, I don't like the feeders at all. Really, most zoos just put the food for the animals on the bare floor, which is natural. Cleaning all those feeders would be way too time consuming and wild animals are not pets. They don't eat clean. Sorry I'm a bit passionate about this but the pet bowls already annoyed me in ZT2 and The Ultimate Animal Collection. I desperatly hope we will have a more natural choice for feeders as well. I like feeding that is enrichment as well, but not this pet-accesoire like feeders.

I also prefer the small info tables we saw in front of the terrarium. Hope we can use them for bigger enclousures as well. If I would use screens, I'll probably protect them from sun and rain at least. Little realism freak at work here. ;)

I agree with this. But I think the game needs to know where the food needs to be placed by the keeper.

But I do agree with certain animals food is either scattered across the exhibit or hidden under rocks, leaves, etc.

@Bo Marit may I say I love you showing up sometimes and clarifying stuff for us. It's always a pleasure to see you post somewhere. I think it's an excellent way of showing the progress you made on researching the animals. This game seems to be going so much fun on so many different fields! Research, desgining, just watching the animals, managing. Ooh can't wait to try it!

Yeah, I know. But instead of a feeder it could be - say - a bone for meat. You place a bone and the game knows, the keeper has to put the meat next to this. For fruits it could be a stick or something like that, for veggies a leaf. Just something less visible and obvious.

I 100% agree! (y)

It would have been nice if we could have used our own pictures for the education boards but it’s not a big deal hat we don’t have it.

God it reminds me of seeing the Hogwarts Express for the very first time! Anyone gonna build a magical zoo? Obviously those giraffes are secretly mooncalf and the rhinos are Erumpentd obviously. Niffler, anyone?
Glad I wasn’t the only one whose mind went to the Hogwarts express train. I kinda want their to be a train model of it in the game now.
