I don't think there is any doubt that FDev will be producing a beautifully looking and smooth running (to a point) game.

They appear to be silent on the management (if any) and the game element, which is my interest (as it was with PC; still disappointed). Perhaps these type of creative building games are just not for me :(.

This is not an orangutan (the fur is too dark and short) and the nape is very convex for a chimpanzee so I think that... we have Gorillas! And plus, waterfalls confirmed.
Beautiful picture.
It's a silhouette. You can't really tell.

Today's orangutan day, tho, and Frontier's always announcing new animals based international animal days. So it is most likely an orangutan.

Of course it is an orangutan. Today is the orangutan day and they decided to announce a new animal just like they did with tigers a few weeks ago.

I love the atmosphere of that new picture! And yay! Waterfalls! <3

Also beside Orangutan Day, I think the pose of lowering his head is more Orangutan like than Gorilla like, since their heads are more often higher on the torso.

Personally, I don’t mind special effects pieces at all.
An in-depth water simulation is calculation-expensive and at the end, it doesn’t really matter that much. (If you don’t look too close, that is. But usually we don’t.)

Having written this, I really would love to see a greater variety of “water fall special effect tiles”. Or, more precisely, special effect tiles that were actually meant to be used as water falls and not just some fountain FX that could be used as water fall in a crude work-around.
What about a narrow array of dripping water strings, what about a gentle fall like in the OP of the dedicated thread? And then, oh how wonderfull, maybe an even stronger stream, maybe a stone dividing the fall. With such special effects presets, I could live happily.

I think the waterfall in the picture looked pretty realistic for water FX, so I really don't mind if the waterfalls aren't actually using the real water effects. However, that being said, I hope its not too hard to make a waterfall in this game. Then again, even if it does look like water fall FX, it could end up being an actual waterfall, as there's no real confirmation of how they made it yet. Bet the waterfalls will be shown off at gamescom tomorrow.

We should wait and see if it's waterfall real or special effects. Since game is more focused on nature then Plan Coaster I don't see the reason why would be special effects but we should wait and see. Don't be like those impatient senseless brats on reddit. ;)

And oh my! Orangutans looks amazing, so lovely. I know that some people hoped for this reveal since is Orangutans world's day, but honestly this was a real great surprise. Day before big Gamescome show. Wow, I am really thrilled!
