Reverberating Cascade Mines inside stations

Having recently participated in a CG in Open - yes in Open! Madness, I know - with my trusty T9 (heavily armored and shielded for the occasion) I stumbled upon the latest emergent content delivery (tm) meta: laying Reverberating Cascade mines inside a Station.

Unlike torpedoes they present the following advantages:

-don't need lock on;
-they are as fast as the ship delivering them;
-they cannot be destroyed in flight when they are laid on top of you;
-you have a lot to begin with, and most importantly,
-they can be restocked.

Furthermore, if the Station is in an Anarchy system or if you belong to the "wrong" Powerplay group, you can be attacked by them without the Station doing anything about it; if you are in a large or slow craft, you literally have no way to defend yourself short of the 15 seconds timer - without any possible counter available to you you will find yourself without shields and thrusters in no time.

I hear a lot of complains about the Heat Cannons, and I'm kinda surprised nobody ever mentioned them, having witnessed their effects first-hand. So, nerfbat when..?

I have encountered this, but without the reverb special (or I wasn't hit be enough mines) so it was just a minor annoyance.

The protagonist just had a cheap ship. So would carpet the inside of the station, eventually be destroyed, respawn and continue.

Won't some mines impact/explode on the station geometry before you can get out of the slot? Don't let me stop you from trying though.

They only get mad when they hit something. By that point you can be KM away.

In my case not even that happened - since I was affiliated to Aisling Duval and the attacker was my enemy, the station was apparently perfectly fine with fireworks going on inside of it. The attacker even had the time to block my way toward the landing pad with its own hull, all the while slow-ramming me in the one instance where my thrusters weren't taken out.

Of course, 3000 points of Hull and 50% resistance laugh at all this and I was still able to logout with timer, but still I find hilarious imagining the security detail watching all this going on from their perch sipping coffee and enjoying the show.

Wait you can deploy weapon ammo inside a Station without it getting mad?!?

I don't know about mines specifically, but firing any other weapon inside the barrel, whether you're hitting anyone or just shooting out the mailslot into empty space, will aggro the station, even in an anarchy.

They certainly are an inventive lot aren't they...can you take out the mines with a fighter?

The 3rd time this happened I actually stopped outside the station pondering what to do, but the gentle salt miner took the mountain to Mohammad, figuratively speaking, and mined my immediate surroundings outside of the station, given the inability of a T9 to out-maneuver an engineered Cobra.

Truly going above and beyond, uh? :p

Fitting pointdefense should solve your problem. The thing about power....what should i say? It's your own fault.
If i attack a player from an opposing power inside no fire zone i get also only a fine for ignoring no fire zone. But shooting them is absolutely legit!

Not sure wether PD shots won't aggro the Station as well.

Inventive lot!

I betcha, that they would have reported you if you'd combat logged out of it to... then label you a cheater then sent you a
