+1 time to sell mine too and take a step back
The good thing is you can probably get 4 bills for it and you have had the pleasure of using it for over a year now so all that fun for free right? I am going to sell mine then step away while this thing works itself out.
Unlike others I will wait till May to see what happens because by then you might wait an extra week to get it. Signing up with them right now just seems silly and has no meaning in fact does nothing to light a fire under their bum to get some support for the games that matter. Eve Valkryie has not even updated its 2 year old trailer so the game is probably as lame as the trailer and the cute little fox game well, no not for me so really nothing appeals to me here in this offer and my PC is more than ready for this to happen. A real shame the way things have progressed.
The rationale behind shipping with the Xbone controller is to provide a consistent control interface for developers to target. Presumably they went for this particular controller because they're produced in such volume that they cost virtually nothing, especially if they've negotiated for them at cost. As Palmer Luckey has stated, if you don't need the controller feel free to sell it on at an effective profit...aaaannnd still no guarantee Oculus will work with ed. I'm sure it may eventually; only time will tell.
On another note, I'd be more OK if it came with the touch controllers. I'm not saying I necessarily want those, but they're better than another Xbox controller I don't need.

I was about to hit go on it but that price.... <ahem> it. I can wait.
They said about $350! also, 600usd !=700 euros! They truly can go bleep themselves at that price point.
<sadface> <frustrated> <feels betrayed>
I'd still rather have the option of not having it, than more stuff to sit and collect dust. And no, I don't have the time to "sell it for a profit". That, to me, was stupid for him to say.
Didn't realise they didn't charge your card until dispatch, tempted to pre-order now and follow your cunning plan![]()
anyone feel stupid for passing up the DK2 in favor of waiting for the CV1?.
I've posted this before, that my DK2 able to run smoothly @1.5 ss/ultra settings would make me a happy camper. the price of the CV1 together with the price of the PC upgrades needed to really enjoy VR is way beyond the price to get a DK2 performing at peak, especially when you consider that the DK2 will get the benefits of ORT 1.0 and gameworks vr. I've never been so happy with a purchase as I am with the DK2, all things considered.I bought a dk2 for 400.00 Canadian, have it for sale at the same price(comes with leap motion).
Was going to put it towards a 970, and then buy the CV1 later. Now, I am thinking I may
keep the DK2 and still get a 970.
