Heavy judder in RES sites - yes or no

I had the same problem, but mostly gone now. I have reduced the NumWorkerThreads to 2 in the AppConfig file. I have a very low end system but am able to use NVidea DSR X 4 with this setting. Only very marginal judder remaining. Worth a try - costs nothing ;). Try searching NumWorkerThread for other posts on this. Please post if this helps or not.

Good luck - BZ

Ive just tested this, no luck... same judder in SC as always (after 20 - 40 sec)

Tried everything by now, nothing helps. Ah, I updated my nv driver and keep it but theres still stutter in sc after a few mins. Hope FD fixes this ASAP.

Beginging to think we will be stuck with the supercruise jitter for a long time:(

I hate to say this but my gut feeling tells me FDEV is all onboard working on Horizons and the extreme jitter in supercruise bug is not a high priority for them even though this destroys the game for us VR users. I hope im wrong but I don't think this is going to be fixed anytime soon. maybe not till Horizons comes out.
:(

Guys I'm not sure everybody talk here about the same kind of stutter. What I experiment is definitively a bug as it happen after several tens of seconds in SC. For me all is fine and when suddenly it happen I lose the 3D effect as one eyes are not anymore synchronized with the other one, like if you suddenly cross your eyes and stay like that..and the problem still there until I leave SC. It fail from 75fps to few fps and kill all the display. It's not a small stutter, it's an heavy effect killing all 3D display, and as said leaving SC and reenter from the same place fix it for a while, sometimes during several minutes (for me). Something wrong accumulate and kill the fps so the 3D game, and it's flushed when leaving SC.

I think that might be the case. For me SC has always had moderate judder. This is different though. It's so extreme it reduces the frame rate to about 2 per second after a minute so.

Judder going into hyperspace, possible reason why?

I created a bug report, even people without the Rift are able to see this loading bug. Having the game reloading things over and over when it should be in game memory might be a cause of some stuttering issues.

If you are seeing this bug, please leave a message on the following bug report thread for 1.4 so Fronter knows that people want it fixxed.

Ok, but why was the bug solved with the patch before 1.4? It worked for me for several months, So maybe they can do the same fix...we hope...
I only play this game with the rift so i will be waiting till i purchase horizons just because of this bug.

I also want to point out that i have no judder whatsoever in other situations, not in big stations or Res sites, just in SC after a short time.

in my case the Judder in Supercruise happens when more than 4 other ships are in the system with me.
Tested this with an almost empty system yesterday (2 suns thats all) and supercruised around quiet some time without
any other ship in the system and : no judder!

Same here, everything was silky smooth in 1.3 Now i cant even turn my head in SC without getting judder and double vision, It has been bad in the past, but never saw double vision anywhere near this bad before.

I use a new 980ti and same problem here. The problem begins with the new update, before the update I played with the DSR to 2.0 with no problem. after the update with DSR to 1.0 I have suttering and double vision.

Exactly which update are you talking about? Mine shows 2015-10/05 (oct5) on the elite startup(using steam). Is that the lastest?

I have submitted a ticket regarding SC stutter. They asked me to provide a video showing the stutter.
As I have no experience at all with video recording, can anyone recommend a programm for recording with the DK2 in extended mode?

yep get yourself a copy of OBS just link it to the game/app you want to record and off it goes.

OK, got it and managed to record from the rift. Problem is it only seems to be able to record maximum 60fps. That way it's useless to record SC judder because on a 60fps video it always looks juddery so you cannot tell if there is SC judder or not.

They probably just want to see that fps drop (wich is causing the judder in this case) so hit control-f and record the movie.
