Anyone else noticed that FDLs will scan and then attack you in RES zones when you aren't wanted, yet all other ships complain about no cargo and go on their way?

Yep, and it's pretty exclusively FDLs that do it.

Edit: heh, just got a 200 cr fine for 'reckless flying causing damage' while pointing my nose to target, flying in straight line, and some completely blind Viper decides to collide with my ship's side/aft.

Edit#2: *scan detected* "I hope you have something good in your hold." *whizz... bump... kaboom* ... there goes that pirate.

This scan and ram is . To all of those that say "oh you should have more situational awareness and not get rammed", shove it. This is broken. It needs to be fixed.

Agreed. It is getting old. Getting rammed by security at stations, getting rammed by pirates at compromised beacons, sometimes over and over. Getting to where now when I hear "scan detected", I boost and hope I evaded the brain dead npc.

Maybe that has something to do with sensors no longer being targettable,
maybe the NPCs did simply uninstall the sensor compartment?

But yes, that AI routine error is causing a lot of annoyance.

The security ships don't do it. Its a pirate thing. Maybe pirates drink a lot at Christmas.

They most certainly do. I've lost count of how many 100cr fines I have gotten because I was rammed at speed by the police.
