Server Issues?

May be massive Aurora Borealis phenomena in the Northern Hemisphere ( Real Life ), causing massive glitches everywhere on the planet.

The fantastic visuals can then be seen if you just step out of your chair and shut off the lights everywhere and look to the real heavens toward the north.

Now.... GIVE US POLAR PHENOMENA IN ELITE!

Every astronomical body with a magnetic field will have massive such glowing things. Amazing.

Have it already seen the last days on evening sessions. Seems like FD is in trouble to handle that amount of Commanders travelling the Galaxy. Over european working hours the problem does not occur to me.

Regrds,
Miklos

Would be nice.

The entire US is home from work due to Polar Vortex

Gotta spin up some resources to handle unanticipated load

It's usually during prime UK hours. 1700-0100 GMT

After 1900 Central (US), things start clearing up. That's 0100 Z/GMT.

Word from the Dinner with Devs (that's happening right now) is that Dav is on his laptop, typing away. Hope he sorts it, and doesn't miss out in any of the food :)

I thought it was working again, and had my fourth attempt to land on the planet.
This time I actually managed to drop out of cruise, but then (haven't learned how to land on planets properly, must consider doing that) I messed it up and learned that you can fail the glide somehow. Apparently a nose dive isn't considered correct protocol. Got it flying again but shortly after that I made another mistake and slammed into the planet. I was gingerly approaching the station with 41% hull integrity when the docking requests went unanswered and then I got the "yeah we can't find the server" message. So this time I was kinda grateful! :D
