Several of the installations in that list don't appear to have been previously documented (the ones in Coeus, Los, Randgnid, Polevnic, and Pleiades Sector IR-W d1-55).

OK, these have all now been added to the list. The ones (accidentally?) revealed by Will have been flagged as UNCONFIRMED with Will's original forum thread linked as the citation. I guess they'll need checking and photographing once FD announce that they're back in the game.

In other news - the OP just hit the same 100,000 character limit that I ran into a while back with my "Best of Forum" thread!



Luckily I have a script which optimises forum references and running that has bought me some time by shaving off 20,000 characters so I guess I won't have to start a "v2" thread quite yet.

I think they're just old CG rewards and overlooked additions from previous updates, not new 3.1 surprises. Coeus, Los, and Randgnid are all in the Colonia region, and it's not exactly convenient to regularly scour there for new content. The Pleiades Sector IR-W d1-55 installation is almost certainly the reward for last week's Aegis mining CG (https://community.elitedangerous.com/en/galnet/uid/5b2bbad06cfc3c5a6c2abcec), and the Polevnic installation might be the missing defense installation for the Sim-Archive (https://community.elitedangerous.com/en/galnet/uid/5aeae37ed71b1a6f1923014d) given Polevnic's relation to Utopia and Pranav Antal (however, I did find an old Galnet story stating that the Sim-Archive is in Antal: https://community.elitedangerous.com/en/galnet/uid/55bb3e1f9657bafe5a2ff022).

Anyway, some more new things to report, specifically a trio of far-flung undockable megaships discovered by Canonn:

- Freedom Class Survey Vessel PNF-542, currently in the Gru Hypue KS-T d3-31 system, with a flight plan as follows: Gru Hypue KS-T d3-31, Boewnst KS-S c20-959, Colonia, Gandharvi, Rohini, Lagoon Sector NI-S b4-10

- James Class Bulk Cargo Ship VKN-091, currently in the Colonia system, with a flight plan as follows: Colonia, Kashyapa, Skaudai CH-B d14-34, Rohini, Gandharvi, Colonia

- James Class Bulk Cargo Ship LNP-723, currently in the Boewnst KS-S c20-959 system, with a flight plan as follows: Boewnst KS-S c20-959, Colonia, Gandharvi, Skaudai CH-B d14-34, Boewnst KS-S c20-959, Colonia

Crikey - well if my list is more up to date than Canonn's then maybe I should give some serious thought to including the full flight plan in my OP. I might start with the ones you were kind enough to post here and see how they look and then think about retro-adding the others.

I must confess (again) that when I started this whole list it was because there were a handfull of these cool new structures that I thought people might like to see, but now things like megaships are ten-a-penny and frankly you can practically stumble across one without even trying I do question whether there's any point even having this thread. If FD's Q4 exploration Codex starts to give even a hint of these kind of locations then I might just shut this thing down because it could easily explode into a completionists worst nightmare! (if it hasn't already).

"Completionist Nightmare" Those two words together seem incongruous. If you're a Completionist, like me - (I also go to all Listening Posts and Unregistered Comms Beacons) then you should be well aware that it's going to take an excessive amount of time. I've been doing the POI tour since November and appart from a handful within 1000 Ly's of the bubble I'm nearly done. Next I'm moving on to the Guardian Sites. I'm waiting until 3.3 drops with the Exploration Update before I leave the bubble and set on my Mega Journey. It's what I live for

Well, not from over there it's not - I try to visit most systems most weeks. They're new with 3.1, though - along with the various other non-military installations above.

I also think the satellites have been removed from several installations. I was chatting to a friend and he just couldn't find any to scan, tried three locations including Cubeo, Facece.

I can confirm that too, I've been to several since 3.1 dropped and no Satellites seen.

Oh what the hell ... attacked planetary settlements now properly documented in the OP! (and seeing as I'm currently doing a tour of these expect new screenshots over the coming days).

Perhaps I will keep maintaining this thread for a little bit longer after all!

If it's some and not others then it's a bug or the rules have changed, I'm guessing it's the former, so I need to verify which ones have them and which ones don't (I'm not going to all of them) So with that in mind can you PM me any Installations you've been to that have and don't have satellites and I'll compile a list and then raise a bug and wait and see what the response is. Or just raise a bug asking the question at least.

Fixed some image confusion re: "Scrump Landing" and "Dominic's Corner" images (I think) and added images for "Sharpe Works" and "Penal Colony BV-2259" (god these locations/scenarios are incredible!).
