Ship docks, CQC structures and other new in-game assets

I don't see the point in cataloguing these since most of them don't do anything, they are just static objects.

FD said they were going to use them in game, I thought they meant they would be useable by the player to dock with or shop at etc. But no, just look at them like you would a painting.

Zzzzzzz pointless

Yet another new roving non-dockable megaship:

- Freedom Class Survey Vessel CTC-023, currently in the Rohini system, with the following flight plan: Rohini, Gandharvi, Kashyapa, Colonia, Kashyapa, Gandharvi

Also, I reported this dockable megaship a couple pages back, but it may have been overlooked:

- Noah's Rest, in the 34 Theta Geminorum system, orbiting planet 2 b

Thanks Commdor, now added.

You can race around them, bounty hunt at them, gather materials at them, scan wakes at them, pick up interesting message logs at them and, now that we have 3.1, you can also do various other interactions at them such as rescuing people from escape hatches and stealing cargo. You can also dock at many of the megaships (but I'm guessing you're referring primarily to the installations here).

You can also look at them like you would a painting and that's cool too.

Sorry you think they're pointless, I suggest you don't go to them then!

The installations can now be datalink scanned to reveal cargo bays and private transmitters for piracy. (As the megaships have had for a while)

Unauthorised Installations are better than a HazRES for bounty hunting (similar NPCs, but no miners or bounty hunters to get in the way)

Some of them have satellites or loose (low-grade) engineering materials nearby.

New installations in Colonia region:
Ogmar (Unauth, B4), Tenjin (Sci, A6), Hephaestus (Ind, B2), Asura (Med, 1d), Benzaiten (Tour, 8), Deriso (Agri, 2c), Diggidiggi (Ind, 3), Einheriar (Agri, 5), Luchtaine (Civ, A3), Ra' Takakhan (Ind, 6), Saraswati (Tour, 3d), Sollaro (Civ, A4), Pekoe (Agri, 9), Hamlet's Harmony (Agri, 4), Pennsylvania (Ind, 3), Kojeara (Agri, 3), Macrath (Comms, 4), Desy (Agri, 4), Tir (Sci, B3), Trakath (Ind, A7), Ratraii (Ind, A3), Alberta (Civ, 2)

In addition to the megaships reported to and from Canonn above which serve the resupply stations, we also have for internal logistics purposes:

Gordon Class Bulk Cargo LWY-129 route Ra' Takakhan, Luchtaine, Colonia, Tenjin, Ratraii, Trakath
Aquarius Class Tanker PDP-399 route Carcosa, Sollaro, DiggiDiggi, Metztli, Colonia, Tenjin
Hogan Class Bulk Cargo GRN-452 route Hamlet's Harmony, Alberta, Colonia, Trakath, Desy, Tir
...and the new Military Installations which were temporarily unavailable are at Los A2c, Coeus A3, and Randgnid 4

You can confirm The Sentinel:

The Sentinel in Pleiades Sector IR-W d1-55 Planet 6 - presumably the result of the recent CG for Aegis

Military, with exclusion zone and defence turrets out the wazoo - approach with care ;)

Edit: There are also some un-named points that look hackable, but in the exclusion zone so I chickened out. The SDF in the area were in battle-lugas when I visited, so it should be possible to take them out ;)

Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge or advice on which structures can be hacked for salvage ? In particular cryo-pods.. I built a ship for this but have no idea where to go.... at all !
Many thanks in advance.

Flimley

Update.. No worries, I found the answer !

The Golkonda in Polevnic is also confrirmed - another Military Installation with a trespass zone. Looks like the same layout as The Sentinel (above)

All now updated in the OP.

This thread is brilliant.

Now we just need more than a hundred bookmarks so I can have every interesting location bookmarked.

I ran out a while ago trying to have all generation, mega ships, asteroid bases, and installations bookmarked.

Turns out theres more than a hundred.

More bookmarks (which we can organise using colours and groups) please FD!

NOTE: This is not the sheet I use as mine has lots of other stuff that is specific to me and my interests and ship fleet, such as Nebula lists, my outfitting and engineering details Thargoid and Guardian sites I've visited etc, so I won't be updating it, but it's a good place to build your lists from. Rows highlighted in Green are all the places I've been.

If there's something I've missed please do let me know.

The attacked MEGA SHIPS, as we know are unreliable, they don't ALL remain permanent, plus there are many that have identical registrations, as can be seen in the ordered sheet above.

My tour is nearly complete, today it's Mining Facility, Site 94
Awesome, I need to go visit some of these sites. :)

I would rep pretty much every post that you make Alec, as there's so many great ones like this, but there's literally no way that I can spread enough rep around the rest of the forum to manage to rep most of your posts...

So +1 VRep.

This is a truly awesome and comprehensive list - respect sir! I was going to transcribe the one's that I'm missing back into my own but there appear to be so many that I've taken the coward's way out and simply referenced your spreadsheet from the OP.
