Ship Outffiting

Greetings Commanders,

After a long break - I am back in Elite Dangerous. Started fresh new profile and so far so good. Got my first ship Eagle and some couple million credits by doing normal missions and bounty hunting from resource extraction site. However I find the system that I am currently in HIP 97950 does not offer any good outfitting modules. For instance I want a weapons module with gimbled lock rather then fixed lock and none is available in that system. Can anyone recommend any near by systems I can go to get my ship outfitted?

Also how do I upgrade my suit and weapons from level 1? Apparently every time I go the weapons co-ordinator at settlement in my system - it says upgrade not available.

Any feedback?

Suits are standard gear for commanders aboard ships and on the ground. There are 4 suit models with different tools and functions. Suits can be upgraded, modified, and saved to Loadouts. These are the available suit models. Originally, only the default Flight Suit was available, but 3 models...

Not in game so I don't know where HIP 97950 is, but Meredith City in LFT 926 has almost everything Jameson Memorial has. Without the 10% discount, of course.

HIP 97950 is basically where odyssey put you in after completing first surface mission, Chamberlain's Rest. I think I need to leave this system and go and explore but I need a good ship to do that and options currently available in this system are limited. Nevertheless I will have a look at LFT926 & see if I can jump there from current system.
