Shouldn't dedicated ships make more money on average in comparison to multitasking ships?

Sure... so I can't exactly have "missed" something good about wing missions, if I don't think the particular points are actually good at all.
Indeed so, but the usual "I'm right, you are wrong!" is in full sail here!

There are 'good things' about wing missions in my opinion also, but you aren't expected to agree with me, either.

Merry Christmas, have a great day 🥳

This is exactly why I made a post in suggestions to add civilian optional internals to civilian type Ships, i.e. modules that can only fit specialised module types like cargo, refineries and limpets, for the cargo ships, and passenger cabins for the passenger ships

there are already ones for the military ships but from what I can understand is that there would have been but people complained so it appears it was never fully implemented, and I have no idea why they would complain about it, as its was a really good idea! they just need to finish implementing it and it will fix this problem!

I said this in my suggestion post but ill say it again here, adding restrictions in general actually adds more variation to the game and not less, which may on the surface seem counter intuitive, but if you have all ships that can include all modules, then you will effectively just end up with the one ship that can fit the best and most modules because that single ship will be best fit for any roles

The time flipping 180 degrees is just a way of measuring maneuverability; the clipper is about 50% more maneuverable than the python, which dramatically shortens them time it takes to mine a core asteroid.

If you're 'blowing past stuff', it's a case of pilot error. You wouldn't say the Chieftain is a worse combat ship than the Crusader because the chieftain is faster.

And additional hardpoints are irrelevant for core mining. You need a core charge launcher and an abrasion blaster; all else is extra.

Superiority is an objective measurement, not subjective. You can prefer the python for core mining, but you cannot say it's better, because in any competition, the clipper will do significantly better every time.

By any objective standard, the clipper is the best core miner in the game.

Which isn't to say I would complain about buffing the clipper in some ways, but only in a very moderate, measured way. Adding an additional utility slot, for example.

I don't buy it. Python carries more goodies, more cargo. The clipper goes the same speed in supercruise and has less internals for everytning, fewer hardpoints and a bigger ship.

Maybe in a single run a clipper can get to 100 minerals first but on any sustained mining the python makes fewer trips to unload and can have nice things like a subsurface missile or something.

You are welcome to your beliefs but for me it will be the python every time.

Canyon racing the clipper can be better but other ships will out perform it there too.

Thing is, if you only consider the things that make the Clipper "the best" at DC mining, you could go on to argue that an iCourier or Viper is even better.
I doubt many people will be using those ships, though, because there is obviously a broader, and more subjective, list of requirements depending on what each player is doing.

To me, it's kind of like trying to argue that a Lamborghini Huracan is "the best" car for going on holiday because it'll get you to your destination the fastest.
That might be objectively, undeniably, correct IF you're travelling alone, on good roads, with a small amount of luggage.
If you've got a family, or you're taking a heap of camping gear, or you're driving on bad roads, a completely different car will be better.

If somebody wants to continue to insist that the Huracan is "the best" car for going on holiday, based solely on their own criteria, it's probably not worth bothering to try and convince them otherwise.
