Show Us Your Setup

I would have to make it up here, if I wanted to post a photo .. sooo .. no photo :D but its just a table with 2 monitors, G11, CH hotas with pedals, trackir and tons of garbage.

Ok ok.. my rather rubbish PC desk...

seeing all these custom desks, has inspired me to build a custom corner desk for ED!

I am starting to doubt the triple monitor setup and just have one massive screen... don't like the boarders splitting up the image.

I just put this together last night. Works pretty great, though my wife is ashamed of me....

I bought two of these. Not bad for $40.00 and an hour of work.

It's a 52" Sony HX900. That PC was never on a tft monitor. I always play on TV's with my PC's. It's just perfect and Sony has very little input lag (newer models have 17ms). I can't even imagine to play on these tiny screens anymore, even if they are 32".

But nothing compares to the oculus rift experience. even that TV is just a tiny window compared to the rift. ED is just made for oculus and the best rift title so far. And its actually easier to play - dogfights are so crazy... it's a whole new dimension and you have a big advantage by following the enemy anywhere with your sight. even the UI panels work so fast - I just look left or right and they pop up. Total immersion!

Mine is a tip as well:

You know, a coffee mug makes every office table instantly 100% more cosy and friendly. It can be as messy as you want but that mug will sit there and it will look like the place has "some" kind of esoteric order to it....

You just got coffee-mug-repped!

I see you your PC connect to a TV... how well does it work? I've been thinking about having buying a 40" 1080p LED TV and using that for ED...

I'll answer this because I have a bit of experience in running various games on various TVs over a few years now: This CAN work, but many TVs have image post-processing resulting in several frames of lag behind the video signal (that doesn't hurt in non-interactive applications such as video, but is pretty noticeable in action games).

Modern TVs also have a "game" mode that turns off said image post-processing, at the cost of image quality.

By far the worst from my experience are the 100 Hz or 200 Hz image improvements, those should definitely be deactivated.

You don't loose anything compared with at TFT screen - they don't have these fancy processing stuff. But there are TV's that are even to slow with game mode enabled (like samsung or LG).

my sony is very fast even with local array dimming enabled and all. no noticable lag at all and I am very picky concerning lag.

Mine is an old girl.

i5 2500 @ 3.3 water cooled.
16Gb ram
GTX770 factory o/c with 4GB on card (recent upgrade from a GTX570 1280)
Win 7 64
X52 Pro + Pro rudder pedals + throttle quadrant.

There may be a few scratches on the case but it hacks down the games I like to play. ED runs max settings with no stutters which is good enough for me.

Its a mess, but I like it :D

If you want to ask, why there is a duct tape all over my trackclip, its because I have kids and if you want to ask, why there is a sock over my TrackIR, its because my trackir arrived with broken IR shield and this is only way how to make it work properly :D

Which joystick is that? One of the cyborgs?

Yep.
Saitek Cyborg Evo Wireless is what it says on the bottom.
Took me ages to get it to work with Windows 7 as it's so old. Had to knife and fork the drivers in before it would see it.
Handy though. No wires. So it can go on a shelf when I'm done.
Not that it does of course. It just clutters up the desk like all the rest of the crap on there.
:D

And it was even half full of coffee!
Monsooned Malabar for completeness.
