I don’t know what kind of knock offs you’re getting but LEGO is almost always better quality, at least in the US.
Like JangBricks (A LEGO reviewer) says, “LEGO is a premium European toy, and we‘lL pay premium prices for it.”

Definitely not lepin though, I was fooled by their prices aswell but the quality I got was awful. Some knockoff lego brands are surprisingly good though, but often those are more european brands.

From what ive seen the only premium thing about them is the price .

I mean i was a big Lego fan back in the day aswell, but when i got back into it like a year ago i was shocked. Since then i only got a few small sets here and there, but they got quality problems in color matching and printing (if they even do them, cough stickers in a 800€ star wars set cough).

Well yeah lepin is , by quality and just copying sets. But there are many who do a way better job, not few even a better one than lego itself.
And even if they are slightly worse than Lego, is that really a dealbreaker if they are like 1/4 the price

Idk maybe the good alternatives are more of a thing in europe

Interesting. From what I’ve heard most of the quality issues involving the color come from the Mexico factory. I wouldn’t think they’d ship those sets to Europe.
Also they do leave out stickers in the majority of larger sets, but there’s usually gonna be at least a few. You can’t expect them to print everything, it would increase prices significantly. And besides, some pieces are not easy to print on, making stickers a better option.

Its the same thing like paying 4 times the price for a hoodie just because it say "Brand X" on it. To me its nonsense

Off topic: Ive made a series of sculptures set in my fantasy universe that i work on between orders for customers, its kinda like DnD but with forest critters (rabbit knights, squirrel sorceres and so on). Has anyone a cool idea for a character?

Let’s see… I’ll think of some…
. A Wolverine Medic/Healer. No one would guess such a ferocious creature could be so well versed in healing rather than hurting
. A Shoebill (or any kind of ominous/mysterious animal, for a more forestry option maybe an Owl?) Portal Master. Kind of like Dr. Strange, it can open portals to different dimensions/realities
. A Lynx Bounty Hunter. Ido you decide how it‘ll work
. A Heron Admiral/Naval Officer of some sort. Can lead boats and handle things that have to do with them
. Osprey Parachuter?
. Moose Heavy Assault?
Are you staying to a strictly woodland theme or any animals? Just EU or NA as well? I can probably come up with some more. I will be interested to hear more about this fantasy universe, it sounds very cool!

Well its EU (germany really) animals only so far, but i have the idea for like a wandering trade from far away, something like a jerboa maybe, u know something clearly foreign but from somwhere you could realisticly travel to by medieval means.
I really like all your ideas, especially the wolverine one! Unfortunately i kinda set myself the boundary of badgers being the max size ones in my world, so the size difference between like mice and the bigger animals doesnt look to silly. They are much closer in size than in RL but you still clearly see a difference.
Also im still unsure about how birds will work, i definetly want them in my world and i want them to be able to fly, but idk how them will be able to interact with the world, like not having hands and all (for now my idea is that they have fingers on their wings, like dinosaurs had

The otter idea is really cool. I had the idea for a otter and kingfisher duo being pirate pals but they might become a shabby, kinda shady fisher duo now
