On the contrary, i think FD have been listening, and look where it got us: Odyssey, an incoherent, babbling mess.
Yeah, all that clamoring for an FPS and dull taxi sessions. I remember it all so clearly.

Ok, if you find the people who asked for buggy terrain generation and poor performance, I'm going to have a serious talk with them.On the contrary, i think FD have been listening, and look where it got us: Odyssey, an incoherent, babbling mess.
The one thing which has bewildered me is this: Before Odyssey, Horizons was still in absolutely dire need of work across so many areas. But instead, people demanded fleet carriers, space legs, all this extra "stuff" that, ultimately, didn't fix any of the core gameplay loops.Ok, if you find the people who asked for buggy terrain generation and poor performance, I'm going to have a serious talk with them.
Honestly, this mess is Fdev. Don't blame the community for that one. Especially when you can pay professional to handle community interaction (they are called CM).
I don't say "let's bash Fdev, here's my pitchfork", but I wouldn't blame the community. I just hope they'll fix it.
Yeah, I actually do remember it. They're also the same people demanding walking in ships, which will be equally dull. I have no idea why people thought flying around in a taxi or FPS would be a good idea, but here we are.Yeah, all that clamoring for an FPS and dull taxi sessions. I remember it all so clearly.

See, you're confusing "popular" with "good" there. The two are actually distinct and not mutually exclusive.I was?
Someone ought to inform [REDACTED] about this. Full ship interiors has generated hundreds of millions of dollars, all those players haven't even realized they're paying for a dull experience. This isn't right!

People were convinced that Odyssey would overhaul the engine and consolidate updates, so fixing a lot of the underlying bugs, and that was why Frontier weren't fixing them with immediacy in the live game. I wasn't sold on that perspective, but some prominent people in the community were of this opinion and encouraging it. Guess it turned out to be grossly inaccurate. When the core game was already bug-ridden and carrying major features which are simply broken outright, what did people really expect beyond more of the same from a DLC? But being one of the ones who didn't want Odyssey, and wanted those issues fixed, I distinctly remember being browbeat on the forums that Odyssey would fix everything.
Look at the thousands of threads that were launched as a result of one CM’s off-the-cuff comments about the desirability of [redacted]. Given the ability of the community to deranged about practically everything, FDev gives us as little information as possible. I do not blame them. Some game company do livestream often for official stuff. I mentioned Warframe earlier.
People dissect everything when they are starved for information. Otherwise, it's surprisingly limited.

I've been a part of that club since I joined the forums, or at least it feels like I'm making everything up as I go along...Welcome to, make it up as you go along club.

Working on a different game I think. So I was thinking after re watching today are fdev in the office or are they still working from home?
Well, working can have many different meanings. A lot of managers consider discussing the same guff over and over in back to back meetings as working. Not suggesting for a minute that FDev are doing this or are lazy, just saying people can have different definitions of what work is.So I was thinking after re watching today are fdev in the office or are they still working from home?
I live in the states so I was just wondering we are pretty much open hereWell, working can have many different meanings. Sure. I'm in NZ... been open here for a long time. Looks to me like they're still WFH, they're probably used to it now anyway.I live in the states so I was just wondering we are pretty much open here
Yeah but NZ was one of the country who did Covid the best^^Sure. I'm in NZ... been open here for a long time. Looks to me like they're still WFH, they're probably used to it now anyway.
I would have liked both, but I can live with just a forum post. This is the reason it was changed from stream format, to a forum post, as given on Supercruise News.

If it really was all about maintaining the integrity of the message, so it doesn't become diluted. Why not have the stream as planned, and then post a thread along side it with all the info given in the stream? Why not both?
Did they clarify (There is a certain level of irony that this thread, on the forums, is complaining that the primary way that fdev is planning to use to communicate with the 'community' is ... the forums. A few weeks ago I seem to recall the complaints being about information being spread on places other than the 'official forums'. They should have spin it that way, people would have loved it
(And ofc the real issue tomorrow is actually gonna be: fdev haven't said what the questions are - so everyone will be complaining they answered the 'wrong' questions)

Make or Break came and went with the Alpha phase 3...They were good enough for everything else, just not good enough for the one thing a huge chunk of the playerbase wanted to see, and was make or break for many people.
But I agree, a video summary can't be that hard surely!? If @Obsidian Ant can do it so can .If preserving message integrity is the goal, then I don't see why the format of the message had to be changed, instead of just recording the message in both written and video format.
