What's the betting this turns out to be some PvPer who's salty cos some people's ships aren't exploding like they should be?
LOL ... he picked a Sunday afternoon/evening .... nothing will happen until Monday morningAt the very least it proves that the response time to blatant rules violations is glacially slow.
Just saw the interview That Plater conducted with the Guy. He didn't come across as salty. He genuinely sounded like he had reached that tipping point of this cheating in game and went all "Falling Down". However instead of going on a shooting rampage he did it in the most peaceful way he could think of. He sounded very emotional. He said he went into this protest fully expecting to be banned. Something like this has to make the gaming press headlines. Will see what happens (if anything) after that. What's the betting this turns out to be some PvPer who's salty cos some people's ships aren't exploding like they should be?

I am indeed quite sure that people protesting blatant cheating in a game are people confronted and unhappy with cheating. Well done, Sherlock!
There are big issues. This guy is making a point, i think.
Demonstrating just how broken ED is with the Cheat engines in circulation.
And if thats not his point... Then as far as im concerned, thats the point he's making.
The Cheat engine story kinda dried up, This might remind people. Its not gone away.
There are big issues.
We're doin' stuff!
Doesn't look like it.
We can't tell you!
Ok. We'll test it.
Err!

Thats just it.... The guy doing this, (if he's trying to embarrass Frontier) will tell the community what punishment Frontier threw at them.
However given how public this situation is, we can assume any severe punishment given will be token.
Does it realy matter?
Guy admits to cheating on a live-stream.
FDev apply permaban.
Which proves... what?
That if you admit to cheating in a live-stream you'll get banned?
Marvellous.
How does that reassure me that they're capable of detecting, and banning, the people who're just dialling up the DPS of their weapons by 10%, increasing their ammo or shield strength, or giving themselves heaps of credits/mat's or using cheats to hop around the galaxy at warp speed?
