So what PvP weapon loadout do they use nowadays?

Greetings,

As the title says, what is the most popular/effective weapon loadout people in open use nowadays? I have an Anaconda with one huge and two large beam lasers engineered to G5 efficiency and oversized experimental effect. In the remaining large, two medium and two small hardpoints I have overcharged multis with an autoloader effect. Thanks to an engineered power distributor, I can comfortably fire all my hardpoints for 9 seconds. This loadout has proven to be very effective in both PvP and PvE, though it quickly loses its effectiveness after a few kilometres.

What ship and hardpoint loadout do you use in PvP? Would you recommend any changes to my loadout - to be honest I didn't really put in much research when I was working on it, so maybe there are better solutions out there.

I saw him in a Mamba at Palin’s when it was under attack from Thatgoids.

Mental day.
Heaps of CMDRs. There was a live link to the stream but some mod got all “let’s not publicise Potter” when in fact it was an awesome love event.
Gankers and Thargoids and idiots like me.
I got nuked in my DBX but I got out in my SRV drove 8 klicks up the hill and got shots on Potter while he was docked.

First: don't use an Anaconda if you aren't Harry Potter.
Second: meta seems to have switched a bit to gimballed frag Mambas.
Plasma Accelerators + Rail combos are also viable, as are gimballed multis.
Shield tanks sadly rule.
Am I alone looking back at (PvP in) Alpha/Beta/Initial Release days, where the mechanics were more straight forward, certainly with less paper-scissor-stone-spock-lizard magic spell side effects, and thinking (more) fondly of combat back then?

Propably no, I didn't join until horizons / the Thargoids, so I can't compare, but the current paper-scissor-stone situation is annoying a lot of players I guess.

It's the immense power creap needlessly thrown into Engineering, along with questionable magic spell weapon side effects too I guess, which has undermined PvP and PvE TBH...

Combat Beluga? That's... interesting.

Ahh, the Omega Thwack Combat Beluga. If you don't see it for what it is, you get thwacked.
If you do see it for what it is, and you can deal a decent amount of absolute damage, it has to run or die.
