Artificial gravity does exsit in ED in certain areas (station spin, Imperial cap ship rings), and I sure as hell not shoving a Dyson on my multicannon when it needs a sprinkle. Just as parents say "have you gone to the toilet?" before long car journeys, I'm going in glorious gravity and wiping in total luxury before I take off.

I don't have that problem, my socks are on the outside of my suit and all is well... I don't have crew... now!

The advantage of this system is that you have an immense number of planets and therefore an equally immense number of ... your very long term needs.
