Spring 2022 dlc

I don’t think Central America animal pack is such a great idea because we still miss too much species from the southern part of the continent that won’t probably be revisited again. The number of DLC’s left is limited unfortunately.

Oh for sure. If we do really have only few DLCs left then CA pack is out of window. But if we had space and time for both CA and SA animal pack, hear me out:

Central American Animal Pack:
1. Ocelot
2. Howler Monkey
3. Collared Peccary
4. Nine Banded Armadillo
5. Mexican Spider Monkey
6. White Nosed Coati
7. Brown Pelican
8. Axolotl ( E )

South American Animal Pack
1. Capybara
2. Two Toed Sloth
3. Maned Wolf
4. Andean Bear
5. Greater Rhea
6. Squirrel Monkey/Uakari/Saki
7. Argentine Tegu
8. Emerald Tree Boa ( E )

Thank you. Unfortunately it's only temporary, but I saw all the speculation and wanted to join in the fun while I have time (at least until, hopefully, the DLC is revealed)

Anyways, speaking of speculation, here's my addition to the speculation buffet:

The 2 packs we got in spring are/were both tropical themed (South America and Southeast Asia). We also (unless more has been revealed) have gotten hints about a capybara, hot springs, and the Lord Howe stick insect. "No duh, DarthQuell. What's your idea?"

My idea, my dear imaginary bully, is the following: another regional DLC, like the SEA pack. "Like what?"
I propose: the Central American animal pack
(Lots of commotion in the imaginary audience). "Quell, Quell, Quell, are you insane?!"
Yes, very much so.
"But why? What could male you possibly think of that?"
Well, consider this: a place that people want is more American animals, right? And we already got a tropical theme for SA. What about Central America? We don't need a theme, just animals.
Interestingly, we have some solid choices:
  1. Giant anteater
  2. Baird's tapir
  3. White-faced capuchin
  4. Jaguar
  5. Puma/Cougar/+38 other names
What's next? Well, we have some more great choices for there, such as:
  1. The highly versatile white-tailed deer
  2. Any coati species
  3. The beautiful ocelot
  4. The adorable kinkajou
  5. A huge variety of monkeys
And that's just scratching the surface of habitat animals that are asked for. Don't forget the multitudes of small animals (no spiders, please. I just found out I have a mild arachnophobia, and playing Grounded didn't help). Snakes, lizards, frogs, turtles (hey, they can even stretch a bit and include Mexico into the mix, giving us the axolotl).
What about animals that'll be nice to have, but not really asked for?
  1. Coyote
  2. Cacomistle
  3. Raccoon
So, my prediction for a 2022 spring DLC is a Central American animal pack, which'll flesh out the New World and a chance we get the cute capybara

(stupid autocorrect keeps changing "capybara" into "Canada")
Oh sucks it's temporary but still seeing you here is a lot of fun! There are so many options for next dlc it could be rainforest, latin, central america, amazon, south america, tropical and a lot more.. And that each of them has a different list of animals because if for example it will be rainforest animal dlc it is something general of all places that have rainforests and if it is for example tropical animal dlc it is even more general then each of the options can have a different list of animals but I want my sloth and maybe also indian crested porcupine if it's tropical animal dlc. My patience is slowly being lost ..hahahaha 💚

hmmm, isn't a CA Pack a bit unlikly? I mean we had the NAA Pack in Autumn. Again a American Pack ... I don't know.
Don't get me wrong I really really like the picks, would be an instant buy (like every other pack too...lol)
But I personally prefer Oceania over CA.
(Birds>Oceania>Rainforest>Northern Asia, CA, ...)

(Sorry, I like this guy :ROFLMAO: )

Here's what I'm betting on for 2022
  • Spring - Tropical
  • Summer - Desert or Grassland
  • Fall - Temperate
  • Winter - Taiga or Tundra
Basically a more obvious showing of the climate trends observed with past DLC.

No, I know capybaras aren't in North America (is Central America part of NA? I get so confused with all the regions)

And then nutrit beat me by saying Latin America, which is actually what I was referring to when I mentioned the capybara (but I didn't explain).

Are we thinking we'll get an announcement today? This is the first one I'll actually be here for.
Typically they announce things Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. So, I doubt anything today, to be honest

Well nothing yet today, we clearly won't be getting anything til May.

Just kidding with my off brand of humor. Hopefully we get some news this week but if not it will be soon. And almost surely we'll see a release in April, if not the last week of March.

Now this looks more to my speed than any of the other suggested SA/CA lineups I’ve seen (I’d personally swap the tegu for either the Brazilian porcupine or a second monkey, but that’s neither here nor there). I think it ultimately just falls back on South/Central America starting off with such a tremendous handicap in base roster representation. Even getting one and a half scenery packs had done little to flesh out the region, and now it feels like even a full on animal pack is going to have to leave a lot on the table.

Well, hopefully, with all the hype and all that jazz, maybe Frontier will consider a 4th year? Maybe, hopefully, hint-hint, Frontier?

There's just so much that can be done, but never enough time (or money, even).
Honestly, some people probably aren't even really trying when building new DLC ideas, so...

Speaking of which, how's PZ doing, financially? Wasn't it the highest, for a while? Did it improve? Drop? Or remain the same?

If that's a stretch to get a Capybara in a CA pack I'll take it.

Rather than double posting, just going to edit. It's mostly retreads on thoughts of what we might be getting at some point in the near future, this next DLC and possibly beyond. What's the likelihood of these various ideas. I'm listing them by my takes on them

Avian
Rainforest/Jungles Animal pack
Amazon specific (animal?) pack
Greater Asia Animal pack
Oceania Animal pack
Desert 4+1 pack or animal pack (edited to include this, given the general lack of animals for the desert biome it may be possible)
Aquariums/marine pack - I'm actually not convinced we'll see this ever. But it seems unfair to put Avians on here and completely skip over a marine pack (new mechanics, a whole new variety of animals that the game doesn't have as yet)

Axolotl (exhibit)

South America Animal Pack
Capybara
Patagonian mara
Common squirrel monkey
Andean bear
Maned wolf
