Hear me out though,
Secretary Bird is the number one on the wishlist along with the Crane at #8, maybe it could happen?
I know Egypt isn't what people think of for needed scenery themes, but frontier always finds a way to make a set different, plus I doubt the whole "Safari Animal pack" is gonna happen cause they've never done anything like that for a theme and people want a LA animal pack for the next animal pack anyway.
The Secretary Bird needs to be checked off if they continue with this whole strat of going through the meta wishlist. With this, they could take it off in the spring, coati and monkey in summer with LA animal pack, and for the other half do something with the Tree roo and Walrus.
Only thing about this I'm skeptical about is that it revisits Africa again for a third time, but then again Africa has so many cool animals. I wouldn't mind it personally.

I mean if its something like sheep, baboon, egyptian goose, rock hyrax, uromastyx and a nice versatile scenery set i would be down.
I wouldnt complain about the secretary in such a pack, although i dont think its fits the sahara/egyptian theme all that well tbh
African spurred tortoises can get big too, y'know?
Plus it's shocking that now it's classified as Endangered now
I was thinking more of a Sahara + sub Sahara theme together, and have sheep, baboon or guezera, crowned crane and Secretary bird.
so Africa then?

Surely I can't be the only one who wouldn't be impressed with the secretary bird? I find it's uses rather limited compared to the likes of the crowned crane.
Having just spent 3 weeks in South Africa I'm all in favour of another African pack, even though I know it would spark some fury in the community.
My line up would be:
South Africa Animal Pack
1. Rock Hyrax
2. Honey Badger (headline)
3. Bat-Eared Fox
4. Waterbuck
5. Chacma Babboon
6. Secretary Bird
7. Blue Crane
8. Bee-eaters WE, mixed varieties
I'd also love the Aardwolf and the Vervet Monkey in that pack, not to mention the Cape Mountain Zebra and Southern Giraffe, and the Impala. Why oh why must packs be limited to 8?

I think the secretary bird is like the shoebill for me. I haven’t seen them in captivity a lot, and there are other birds I would find more useful. I would love their inclusion in game though.
I would swap Gelada with Green Monkey.
That wouldn't fit the kopje/safari theme though, a baboon would be needed.
Not even a Colobus Monkey or a Vervet Monkey?
For a kopje pack there are three locked in animals that if not in the roster then no bother even calling it a kopje pack: kilspringer, hyrax and agama (for exhibit). Its also the perfect opportunity to include the baboon. As for the fourth habitat animals unfortunally we are left we either an african leopard or another lion (which is no that bad of we get the South african lion with a better look than the base game one).
I don't despise it as much as the shoebil (which I feel is nothing more than a meme popularity), but it is a bird I don't want. At all.
And that is not because I'm not the biggest fan of the world, but because there are a dozen more versatile, better choices.
Grey crowned crane, marabou, white stork, pelican... just a few of them.
Both the secretary bird and shoebil are amazing. Yes there are more versatile birds, but these two are big ticket birds. They ain't no fillers or birds you just pop into another mixed habitat, they are the stars of the birds (just as pelicans, to be clear). I would love to get them all and that's why we need a birds pack <3
I would love to build specific enclosures for Secretary bird and pelican, then add crowned cranes, storks, and ground hornbills in mixed Savanna enclosures.
My thoughts. I prefer a less versatile but more "spectacular" animal. I mean if you want a species only because it's easy to place, then I don't really see the point of having it anymore. Let me be clear, I would accept any kind of bird but the justification of "It's not common in zoos" or "They do not represent this continent the best" is something I can't understand. I like to have a mix of common and "more special" species. So yeah, I'm rooting for secretary and shoebill too.
Not that the animals have to tie into the building theme (see Africa pack) but having something Egypt related, a Jackal would be great. Baboon as well, that ties into two Egyptian mythological deities and their respective animals.
FWIW I don't personally feel this type of pack should be a priority, but short of a world wide finale pack I'm not sure how to get the Secretary Bird and a Baboon in.
