I hope we get birds soon!
I'd rather not have it summed up to purely one country still. Though I'm also firmly of the opinion that it should also be an animal pack (even if it means it'll take longer for us to get it.)What if instead of it being named Central or Latin America pack, it’s just Brazil? Cause a fair chunk of the animals requested live in Brazil. Add in a bright scenery set and it would be a win imo.View attachment 371327
Sorry, there isn't that much good variety. It should probably be Latin America Pack. What if instead of it being named Central or Latin America pack, it’s just Brazil? it won’t work. Rhea and mara don’t live in Brazil. Also SA needs to be an animal pack. What if instead of it being named Central or Latin America pack, it’s just Brazil? Broski what. Y'all are throwing the term "clone" and "re-skin" around way too willy-nilly like literally what? It's not even coming from new accounts, I'm seeing it coming from people who've been here for ages.Feels too much of a clone of the tropical pack:
Peccary - red river hog
two toed sloth - brown throated sloth
howler monkey - lar gibbon
ocelot - fossa
I'm not one to throw around the word clone very often, lots of people called and still call the arid pack full of clones and reskins because it used the same rig or whatever reason. But think about - a spring scenery pack that is themed around tropical regions and animals. The pack comes with an arboreal predator, a primate, a pig and a sloth for the walkthrough exhibit. How exactly does frontier market the exact same pack twice with literally the same roster but 'new'.Broski what. Yeah, in that case it's really eh. I also just disagree with a Latin America theme pack on principle, so an animal pack should give us more variety, easy. You just threw me off cus I thought you were implying the howler monkey to be a "clone" of the gibbon, which like, no.I'm not one to throw around the word clone very often, lots of people called and still call the arid pack full of clones and reskins because it used the same rig or whatever reason. We know frontier doesn’t include completely unique rigs, and the howler monkey wouldn’t be a clone at all. It doesn’t move like gibbons, and it’s not the same size either. All of my picks are ones that I’ve seen highly requested and metioned several times, and now that they might be clones you don’t want them?Feels too much of a clone of the tropical pack:

I didn’t include Mara and Rhea in the poster though lol. And I really don’t think it needs to be an animal pack. Adding 3 more animals will not fill the void of the need of SA animals, especially not when those extra 3 probably won’t be things like a second monkey, tamandua or the mara.it won’t work. Rhea and mara don’t live in Brazil. Also SA needs to an animal pack.
The term clone is very much contextual I this case I agree with the original poster the pack would be of a vaguely tropical theme include a pig, a medium sized arboreal primate, a sloth, and a small arboreal animal with a feline body plan it wouldn't market well even if they would all need rig reworks.Broski what. Its not that the animal would be clones its that the roster as a whole is too at a glance similar to the tropical pack all the animals are unique they are just visually adjacent to almost the entire tropical packs roster bar one animal. Also your comparison to the arid pack made no sense your saying they wont add new animations or do heavy work on the animals and refer that to arid a pack notorious for only doing mostly skin reworks bar 2 animals. I personally could see it as either a scenery pack or animal pack but central america would be the better and more likely theme.I’m so confused.

Those all need heavy amounts of work done on them, and we saw what happened with the arid pack, they won’t make several new animations for majority of animals in an animal pack, but in a scenery pack like we saw in the Oceania Pack, they did. Quokka got a new animation, penguin was a clone, and the two others got a very good amount of work done on them. Plus a Brazil scenery set would do very nice to think, can fill the void of flag scenery people wanted for a worlds fair pack.
No im not saying they are literal clones of each other, the animals on their own are different enough. The problem i have is the roster chosen is very very similar to the roster of the tropical pack, no matter how requested or new the animals may seem. It just seems an odd choice to ask for a region specific pack that mimics the tropical pack, it comes off as this is the tropical pack i wanted. Realistically we need an oceania style animal pack for south/latin america that covers as many underepresented regions as possible. Tropical south america is kind of one of the stronger parts of the roster so far even with just one monkey. We know frontier doesn’t include completely unique rigs, and the howler monkey wouldn’t be a clone at all. I would say swap the peccary with the bushdog but that would definitely make it feel distinct enough on its own maybe we could get another big tropical snake. This whole situation is eased by replacing the ocelot with the bushdog!
And giving a different exhibit animal
Bush dog and the blue poison dart frog. I love those tiny frogs. This whole situation is eased by replacing the ocelot with the bushdog!

I think the best pack selection would be:I would say swap the peccary with the bushdog but that would definitely make it feel distinct enough on its own maybe we could get another big tropical snake.
I think because of its position on the meta wishlist, the howler monkey will be the monkey of the pack.Golden lion tamarin (mascot)
I see that the howler is more popular and probably easier to implement into the game but honestly the golden lion tamarin is just so striking (plus actually common in zoos)I think because of its position on the meta wishlist, the howler monkey will be the monkey of the pack.
while a caecilian would be good to increase amphibian diversity that is possibly the worst choice for a south american exhibit animal it has a long heavily descriptive name, to the average person it looks like a worm most people have no idea what a caecilian is and there are so many better amphibian choices for tropical south america.I think the best pack selection would be:
Golden lion tamarin (mascot)
Bush dog
Collared peccary
South American coati
Rio Cauca caecilian
