Spring 2024 DLC Speculation

I'm assuming the winter DLC is gonna be montane/highlands, so this would be my dream spring DLC pack. The number refers to the meta-wishlist.

Would you be up for an arboreal pack instead of a location/biome one?
I very much like this pack (anything with the yellow-throated marten is an automatic winner, in my mind). Just about the only thing I would definitely change is to swap out the patas monkey, which is the most terrestrially-adapted monkey, for a more arboreal African monkey species like a guenon (De Brazza's is highest on the meta wishlist). I'd also take a chameleon as the exhibit/walkthrough exhibit animal, but would not be at all opposed to the sloth either.

Other than those little changes, this would probably be my favourite pack in the game.

Whilst I’d love most of these animals, the idea of an arboreal animal pack seems unrealistic plus I’d be bored (and I suspect others would be) building such intricate climbing exhibits for every animal.

Also, I don’t think we need another sloth or anteater. Give me an Indian giant or Red squirrel any day

Love it! Also tamandua would be great in this pack.
Yes, tamandua would be a solid pick too.

I agree, I picked the Patas cause I love it personally. Out of the african guenons, yes, De Brazza or Diana would make most sense. I thought of a chameleon, green python, emerald boa but ultimately chose sloth cause walkthrough exhibits offer more customization options. It's a pity we didn't get a two-toed in the first place.

Well it's a way to get some highly requested animals plus expand the primate selection in-game. The arid pack was almost exclusively ungulates, so why not have one climbing pack. Squirrels would be awesome too. My choice would be a Prevost's Squirrel. I love how colorful they are. They're also common in captivity.

Would love if we could get them climbing their chainlink fence and also hanging from it. Updating animal climbing for the free update is always welcome. I've seen them at zoos and they're always active and really entertaining.

I want a rabbit I say! and not the kind you pull out of a hat. A Black Tailed Jack Rabbit to be exact.

This pack is pretty close to perfect. I'm assuming we'd wind up with two monkeys at maximum, though, so I assume we'd get an ocelot instead of at least one of those. And probably some sort of reptile or a "simpler" animal in place of another.

But this pack would be really awesome! (Really, any pack that gives me the tree kangaroo, coati, new world monkey, and a mustelid in one shot will get my vote).

ok, here is some DLC concepts.

Eurasia Animal Pack
Markhor
Wolverine
Eurasian Brown Bear (obligatory clone)
Wild Boar
Sichuan Takin
Mandarin Duck
Fransicos Leaf Langur
(Exhibit Animal) King Cobra or Tokay Gecko

Arboreal Animal Pack
Geoffrey's Spider Monkey
Scarlet Ibis
Sumatran Orangutan (obligatory clone)
Crocodile Monitor Lizard
Grey Fox
Ocelot
De Braza's Monkey

This is… this is just an Asia pack. If a Eurasia pack came with this lineup, it’d feel so cheap. A Eurasia Pack needs to include animals that have range in both continents, or at least have historically. A Eurasia Pack lineup SHOULD look like:

• Wolverine
• Saiga
• Eurasian Wild Boar
• Eurasian Brown Bear
• Wisent
• Muskox
• Pacific Walrus
• Siberian Flying Squirrel (WE)

A Eurasia pack with just Asian animas defeats the whole point of the ‘Eur’ in the title.

I just think when a Eurasia pack JUST includes random animals from all kinds fo biomes that are predominantly just tropical asian animals, it can feel like an ‘anything animal pack’. It feels cheap like one of those ‘unique animal pack’ concepts. A Eurasia pack has the possibility to be very cohesive. But when it’s just ‘here’s eight asian animals and three of them also happen to appear in Europe’, it might as well be a ‘Greater Asia’ pack.

AMERICA IS THE BEST WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
guess it's better than Saudi Arabia.

In any case, if people want a ‘Greater Asia’ pack, they should ask for that. Instead of wasting the ‘EURasia’ title and including all Asian animals, three of whom also happen to have slight European range.

Ok. In that context i can concede the inclusion of the EBB because the rest of the roster is so good. Still think instead of it a better choice is the Pallas cat.

Hedgehogs are too small for habitats and flying squirrels would be basically impossible to find in a walkthrough exhibit. Would also not be enthused for yet another pack of almost all carnivores/ungulates when you have options like a bar-headed goose, white stork, or Demoiselle crane.
