they did grasslands in winter so not impossibleSafari in winter?
hmm this would be so dissapointing for a safari pack at least for memy predication is they wont change the formula and they will release another scenery pack
desert / safari or something
I cant think of a theme but im sure frontier will find something
- secretary bird (number 1 spot and a unique rig)
- blackbuck (because we just got the saiga frontier loves putting in something unique than putting in the basic version after)
- serval (tope 20 cat clone)
- African spurred tortoise (people keep asking for a desert tortoise and it shouldnt be hard)
- cobra
*sees manatee *my preddictions/hopes lets say they do 5 more, coastal spring, savanna summer, mountain autumn, americas winter and rainforest next spring, macaws are really optimistic if not them then some kind of chameleon would be cool
why ? i mean i dont really care about getting it but wouldnt it be way easier to implement than birds ?*sees manatee *
Even the birds are more likely
Itās a fully aquatic. They donāt go on land. Keepers canāt swim. It would take a bunch of new mechanics to implement. Macaws could be plopped in a WTEwhy ? i mean i dont really care about getting it but wouldnt it be way easier to implement than birds ?
technically walkthrough birds would need exactly 0 new features to work however we currently have no way of getting the manatee into the water because of the way habitat gates work so manatee is therefore harder.why ? i mean i dont really care about getting it but wouldnt it be way easier to implement than birds ?
Because rig and animation wise the manatee would be easy its just fixing the wonky habitat gates. The manatee in of itself would bring so much appeal to the game that it might be worth it plus fixing the habitat gates and the keepers hydrophobia will help any semi aquatic habitats as well.My biggest point against these lone manatees in random packs is like why would they go through the trouble to make a fully Aquatic animal work in game and never use it for other marine life.
I've never seen a manatee discussion ever end on a positive note.
I agree in concept (I don't think they'd do it for just one animal either), but as for why they wouldn't do it for other marine life, what other marine life is generally kept in open air tanks aside from cetaceans (which Frontier will doubtlessly avoid for obvious reasons)? I mean, typically, outside their native ranges, fish, even large fish, are kept indoors with absolute control over tank chemistry unless conditions are ideal (like cichlids in a hippo pool - though even then I'm pretty sure the examples I've seen have been indoors anyway or in tropical countries). And yes, I know Frontier doesn't have to ensure everything is super realistic - clouded leopards typically aren't kept in open-air habitats either, after all - but in the case of fish it's less about the ability to escape as it is with climbing mammals or flying birds and more about literal survival, as for many species even minute changes to water chemistry and cause myriad health problems and even death. My biggest point against these lone manatees in random packs is like why would they go through the trouble to make a fully Aquatic animal work in game and never use it for other marine life.
I mean this sort of thing didnt stop them before. You can place ectothermic animals in your tundra zoo and king penguins in your desert one, both scenarios would likely result in the animals death in real life. So i dont think this would stop them from adding sharks and other big fish as habitat animals either. The option to personally only use them indoors is always there.I agree in concept (I don't think they'd do it for just one animal either), but as for why they wouldn't do it for other marine life, what other marine life is generally kept in open air tanks aside from cetaceans (which Frontier will doubtlessly avoid for obvious reasons)? India animal pack isnt that far fetched imo. Could have a really great roster of animals potentially
-Nilgai
-Honeybadger
-Sambar
-Barheaded goose
-Lion tailed
Would be a great start of a roster which would be diverse and i assume well received
it's a bit carnivore heavy of an animal pack that I thought of... So I'll replace mongoose with hornbill.Add Golden Jackal and a mongoose (in my opinion).
Would compete with Grasslands for my all time favorite pack!
Probably not any better than macaws, eagles and toucans would
- Great Hornbill (IDK if it works as a habitat animal?)
Honestly I can almost see it, especially as an anniversary send off for the 5th anniversary. Being in development for 5 years is a big deal, so we get one animal for each year. Mostly going off your list everyone would get:I know it'll never happen, but a small part of me hopes if we make it to the next anniversary they'll drop 3-5 simple "reskin" clones just to cover these semi-highly-requested species. EBB, American flamingo, Sumatran tiger, Masai giraffe, and...Grevy's zebra? Green peafowl?
