Spring 2024 DLC Speculation

That's a fair point.
This is just guessing but my assumption is that all the discarded content was discarded for a reason, either technical issues, didn't make the quality check (perhaps due to unexperienced dev), last-minute change of plans or simply running out of time to continue a project.
Out of these, only the "last-minute change of plans" might ensure they have some finished products (animals). But then again extra time would most likely be needed to add the coding for simple but still time-consuming stuff like zoopedia, labels, inter-species enrichment, etc. And there's a chance that whoever worked on these is working on something else now (perhaps even a different company) and other people are put in charge. I have no idea about game development but it can apply to many jobs: taking up tasks/projects from other people is not as easy as it may sound.

I hate to be that guy but we have to bear in mind that the situation is not looking good at Frontier so expecting a big expansion now out of all times is risking being disappointed.
I'm sure it will still be a high-quality DLC and oh boy am I excited for it, and more so for a potential sequel!

OMG, yes. I know nothing is confirmed and we don't even know when, but maaaan, I'm so excited for a sequel with what Frontier has learned and all. Given how successful PZ1 is / was I just think they will put all their heart and blood in it.
And yes, am also excited for the new DLC, may it be larger or not. I'll welcome it with open arms.

I have a question (and I know it has already discussed but I don't remember what people said).
Do you guys think Frontier will clearly tell us that this is the end wheb they will release the last pack? Or will they just release it without saying nothing and leaving us with our hopes and tears? I say that because I want the information to be clear when the last DLC is out. I don't know how it happened with Planet Coaster or JWE but I would be real mad if they say nothing.

Yeah. I mean what I fear the most is all that "give us console edition already" mobs are gonna be drop dead silent after release; probably one of Frontiers' worst nightmares that could gravely cut off their morale for further productions.
Personally I'd love them to be silent and just buy and play the bloody game. It will be wonderful to enjoy nice replies under posts without passive aggressiv "console release". I find it especially irritating under creators spotlights.

Don't forget the "give us planet zoo on mobile" comments, I can't resist laughing every time I see one of those.

You know, usually I avoid gate keeping, but when I read those, I always think "kid, get a propper gaming device".
Unironically a former friend said pre release that new mobiles can handle more than I think. Then I showed her a trailer and she understood that her phone would be on fire 😂

They explicty mentioned that?

He's poking fun.
While @Captain Callum obviously was, in the original kick-off pitch and the blueprints Frontier hat for PZ pre-development, flying birds were actually integrated. So technically they were cut content, just at a so early stage, that we can't expect and sraps or dead data that will be revoked for a DLC now.
